After the massive explosion, the Pokémon Center had already been reduced to ruins.
Many passing Trainers had gathered there, clutching their Pokémon with faces full of relief at having survived the disaster.
Ash, filthy from head to toe, also held Pikachu in his arms and said thankfully, "Thank goodness, we're finally safe, Pikachu!"
"Hey, what on earth was up with that group just now?!" Misty couldn't help complaining.
"If I'm not mistaken, those people were the Pokémon thieves that have been appearing around here lately. They specialize in robbing and stealing other people's Pokémon." Officer Jenny, who had arrived late, frowned.
"But fortunately, all the Pokémon in the Pokémon Center have already been transferred to the Pokémon Center in Pewter City!" Nurse Joy was immensely relieved as well.
She then turned around and apologized to the Trainers behind her.
"Everyone, we're terribly sorry. Because this happened so suddenly, the Pokémon Center in Viridian City may not be usable for some time. Please head to one of the nearby inns to rest and recover."
With something like this having happened, the Trainers had no choice.
They nodded and gradually left with their respective Pokémon.
"Alright then, Pikachu, we should get going too!" Ash said, holding Pikachu as he prepared to leave.
Seeing this, Misty immediately shouted, "Hey, you two! Where are you going?"
"Obviously, we're going to an inn to rest!" Ash looked at her in confusion.
Misty snorted. "Until my bicycle is fixed—no, until the two of you compensate me for my bicycle—I'm coming with you!"
Ash and Pikachu both wore awkward smiles.
Who could have known Misty had been nearby back then? Pikachu's Thunder Shock had just happened to hit her bicycle.
But then again, Misty's strength really was incredible!
She had actually carried her bicycle all the way
