"A Trainer with a Legendary Pokémon?"
At the Pokémon Center in Pewter City, Nurse Joy looked at the group of reporters before her, utterly bewildered.
"That's right, Nurse Joy. This is huge news! As far as I know, even at the Indigo Plateau Conference, there has never been a Legendary Pokémon captured by a human!"
The reporters were beside themselves with excitement. It was not just about a Legendary Pokémon—looking further ahead, this year's Indigo Plateau Conference was bound to be incredibly thrilling!
"So, please tell us where that Trainer is, Nurse Joy. We'd like to conduct an interview with him!" one reporter said excitedly.
Nurse Joy blinked, looking even more confused.
"But... that Trainer left Pewter City early this morning!"
"What? He already left?"
"That's right. If I calculate the time, he should have reached Mt. Moon by now, shouldn't he?" Nurse Joy said gently.
Behind them, Ash and Misty, who had come over to see what the commotion was about, looked disappointed.
"The Legendary Pokémon already left..." Misty muttered.
"What's the big deal?" Ash said. "Since that Trainer is traveling too, Pikachu and I will meet him someday!"
"You idiot, Ash, you have no idea what a Legendary Pokémon means!" Misty could not help recalling Fire Emperor at Dongshu's side. "But now that you mention it, it feels like there have been more reports of Legendary Pokémon appearing lately!"
"Hmm... speaking of Legendary Pokémon, when Pikachu and I first left Pallet Town to begin our journey, we saw Ho-Oh!" Ash recalled that day's experience.
"Ho-Oh? How could that be?" Misty looked skeptical. That was a Legendary Pokémon even rarer and more powerful than Fire Emperor and the others!
"It's true!" Ash took out the Rainbow Feather from his backpack.
"Pikachu!" Pikachu on Ash's shoulder also vouched for him.
