"Uchiha Mai, I've been waiting for you!"
Kaguya Chengze pointed ahead with a savage grin. "Yesterday in the square, my blood was already boiling. I couldn't wait to fight you to the death.
"But the Mizukage ordered us not to pick a fight with you until we were sure we'd advance from the team round.
"Be grateful. If the Mizukage hadn't given that order, you'd have died yesterday."
The sandstorm drew closer, severely limiting their visibility.
Uchiha Mai narrowed his eyes. "I remember you saying the Mizukage could deal with his own headache.
"Why are you so obedient to him now?"
Uchiha Tekka burst out laughing. "Someone must've tattled and gotten him a lecture."
Kaguya Chengze clenched his teeth, as though recalling something painful. "I feel like listening to him now. Got a problem with that?"
"No problem."
Uchiha Mai shrugged and spread his hands. "I just liked you better when you were so defiantly full of yourself."
Hm?
Visibility was poor for both sides in the sandstorm. When Uchiha Mai spread his hands, Kaguya Chengze finally noticed the bone spear over two meters long in his left hand.
"That thing in your hand... I feel like I've seen it somewhere," Kaguya Chengze said, puzzled.
It looked familiar, but he couldn't remember where he'd seen it.
"It's my trophy."
Uchiha Mai swung the bone spear and taunted him. "Forgot already?
"A few days before the written exam, I beat you like a dog. I snapped a few bones off you while I was at it.
"I have to give the Kaguya Clan's Shikotsumyaku credit. This bone spear feels great in my hands."

"Damn you! Damn you! Damn you!"
Enraged, Kaguya Chengze's eyes went bloodshot. He threw back his head with a howl and charged at Uchiha Mai.
