Hyuuga Kagetora

Two hours later, the group arrived at the Northeast Division headquarters.

It was a mansion hidden in a town. The moment they landed, they headed straight for it, looking ready for a fight.

Bang!

Uchiha Mai kicked the mansion's front door open.

Inside, the Konoha Ninja processing intelligence sensed several chakra signatures making no effort to hide. Thinking enemies had launched a surprise attack, they immediately went on guard and rushed out to confront Mai's group.

Huh... why are they all kids? Even the oldest looks only twelve or thirteen.

Mai pulled a scroll from his robes and tossed it to one of the ninjas who had rushed out. It was his appointment order and identification.

If he was taking command of the Fifth Squad, he needed credentials.

Black Tomoe spun in his blood-red eyes as he demanded, "Who's in charge? Come out and see me!"

A young man of around eighteen, whose eyes were entirely white, stepped forward. He caught the scroll, opened it, and examined it carefully.

Then he studied Mai's group for a long moment. They had the credentials and the Sharingan. There was little room for doubt.

The young man returned the scroll to Mai. "I'm Hyuuga Kagetora, a Konoha Jonin and the new head of the Northeastern Intelligence Division.

"You must be Uchiha Mai, captain of the Anbu's Fifth Squad. I've heard a great deal about you."

From the Hyuuga Clan?

Mai gave Kagetora a closer look. Sure enough.

When the Sharingan was inactive, it looked no different from an ordinary eye.

The Byakugan was different. For one thing, the likelihood of awakening it was extremely high. For another, once awakened, the entire eye remained pure white even when the ability was not in use. It was easy to recognize.

In terms of perception, the
