Each had its strengths. Explosion Release was more destructive, Mai's Ninja Swordsmanship was deadlier, and his Nintaijutsu was more efficient.

But that greater destructive power meant Explosion Release took longer to charge. Its windup was around 0.3 to 0.5 seconds, a little slower than Mai's moves.

It was an excellent Kekkei Genkai. With enough chakra, Gari might well grow into a fighter beyond Jonin level.
