Uchiha Mai's brush flew across the page. In just over half an hour, he had written out the song's lyrics and score.
The song was entirely in Japanese. All he had to do was copy it, so it hardly took any time.
The instant Uchiha Mai put down his brush, Tsunade snatched up the score and examined it closely.
Not that she could make much of it. Tsunade wasn't an artist, after all. Perhaps Jiraiya or Killer B would have been able to tell her something.
"Isn't this intro a little too long?"
Pointing at the score, Tsunade asked doubtfully, "The intro alone takes up three or four lines. The lyrics don't start until after that.
"Won't the audience get bored with just accompaniment and nobody singing?"
"It's a dance song."
Uchiha Mai explained, "The performers start dancing right from the beginning. The opening section without lyrics serves as accompaniment for the dance.
"With beautiful women dancing to feast their eyes on, the audience naturally won't get bored."
"Aren't these lyrics a little too suggestive, then?"
Still resistant, Tsunade pointed at the lyrics and nitpicked. "When the bright moon rises,
"Light the red lanterns.
"The festival music sounds its cue,
"Seductive night butterflies dance.
"This is downright decadent music, isn't it? Are you sure hearing a song like this won't corrupt the Konoha ninja's resolve and destroy their fighting spirit?"
"What's wrong with the lyrics?"
Uchiha Mai countered, "Aren't they perfectly normal and cheerful? The melody, lyrics, and rhythm are all ideal for festivals.
"It's a perfectly respectable song."
Indeed, the song Uchiha Mai had chosen for Tsunade was none other than the worldwide sensation, "Gokuraku Jodo."
I have a dream. Before coming to this world, Uchiha Mai had harbored two unrealistic fantasies: watching dance king Uchiha Madara dance to
