The flames of war raged for thousands of years, affecting star regions tens of thousands of light-years across.
Countless planetary systems were caught in the fighting between the fleets of both sides.
All kinds of resources were plundered, and countless planets were destroyed.
Among them were many habitable planets.
In this battle, the War Hammer Federation went from enthusiastic anticipation at the outset, to being on high alert, to being caught in the maelstrom, to struggling to cope, and finally to fighting desperately to hold its ground.
