Dao Ancestor Hongjun praised Li Qingxu and cautioned him to pursue the Dao with courage before declaring that the Human Race would become Heaven and Earth's new protagonist. He invited the Sages to choose disciples to guide the Three Sovereigns and Five Emperors for Heavenly Dao Merit, then singled out Emperor Yu as an exception.

  • Dao Ancestor Hongjun examined Li Qingxu, praised his foundation and fortune, and advised him not to let humility blunt his resolve.

At Dao Ancestor Hongjun’s gathering, Taiqing Laozi and Nuwa tried to claim key teaching positions for their disciples, but Li Qingxu mocked their entitlement. Primordial Heavenly Venerate defended Li Qingxu and argued that the positions should go to Chan Sect disciples because of their genuine service to the Human Race.

Yuanshi assigned Li Qingxu to guide the Heavenly Emperor and Guangchengzi to guide the Human Emperor, while Nuwa considered sending Fuxi’s spirit to be reborn among the Human Race.

Meanwhile, Chiyou and Xing Tian found the intact Pangu Blood Pool and planned to revive the Witch Clan by refining Demon corpses into source blood.

  • Li Qingxu told Li Beixuan about the Saints' dispute and his appointment as Master of the Heavenly Emperor, then ordered him to prevent Fuxi from reclaiming power.

Nuwa learned that Fuxi had died and confronted Li Beixuan and Li Qingxu, accusing them of killing him. Li Qingxu denied responsibility and claimed Fuxi had brought the Heavenly Thunder upon himself.

  • Nuwa discovered through divination that Fuxi had died and his True Spirit had returned to the Underworld.

After Shennong completed his own mission and reached the Grand Unity Golden Immortal realm, he handed the authority to Xuanyuan.

As Xuanyuan oversaw the Human Race’s expansion, survivors reported that the Witch Clan had reappeared and destroyed more than a hundred human tribes. Xuanyuan organized aid and prepared to seek help from Huoyun Cave, but Guangchengzi arrived before he could leave.

  • Cangjie reported the Human Race’s rapid expansion and rising cultivation to Xuanyuan.
  • Qingshi Shi staggered into the meeting hall and said the Witch Clan had slaughtered his tribe.

Xuanyuan and Guangchengzi confronted Chiyou after the Witch Clan devastated Human Race tribes, but Chiyou rejected their demands and threatened to invade. The chapter left Xuanyuan and Guangchengzi retreating to plan their response before Chiyou’s ten-day deadline.

  • Guangchengzi arrived to aid Xuanyuan on the orders of Primordial Heavenly Venerate, and Xuanyuan asked him to accompany him to confront the Witch Clan.

After discovering that Chiyou had survived and become a Primordial Golden Immortal, Xuanyuan prepared the Human Race for a decisive battle against the Jiuli Witch Clan at Zhuolu. Guangchengzi went to Daluo Mountain to seek Li Qingxu, while Xuanyuan headed toward a mysterious, blazing mountain.

  • Xuanyuan told Limu and the others that Chiyou had split the earth and reached the Primordial Golden Immortal realm.
  • Guangchengzi promised to bring his senior brother Li Qingxu from Daluo Mountain to face Chiyou, then set out on his white crane.

Ch. 137Preparing to Make a Move

Guangchengzi visited Li Qingxu in Daluo Mountain to seek help with Chiyou and the Witch Clan’s return. Li Qingxu agreed to act against Chiyou and gave Guangchengzi five Five-Needle Pine Fruits to strengthen his Dao Foundation, then began helping him refine them.

  • Jiu Feng led Guangchengzi through Li Qingxu’s Blessed Land, where he marveled at its spiritual herbs and the Five-Needle Pine.
  • Li Qingxu welcomed Guangchengzi and recognized that he had come because Chiyou and the Witch Clan threatened the Human Race.

Ch. 138The Great Battle Was Imminent

Xuanyuan summoned the Xuanyuan Sword and led the Human Race and the Four Seas Dragon Clan toward Zhuolu for the decisive battle. Chiyou also marched there with the Witch Clan’s army, and both forces advanced toward the coming clash.

  • Xuanyuan called forth the Xuanyuan Sword, whose Golden Dragon weapon spirit emerged from Shoushan Copper and flew into his hand.
  • Xuanyuan rallied hundreds of billions of Human Race warriors, and the Four Seas Dragon Clan pledged its forces to help them.

Ch. 139The Battle of Zhuolu

The Witch Clan army reached Zhuolu, where Xuanyuan’s human forces and the Dragon Clan had gathered to meet them. Li Qingxu arrived to face Chiyou, and the Battle of Zhuolu began with both armies charging.

  • Chiyou led the Witch Clan army across the primeval forest to the Zhuolu Plains, where they found the human army and True Dragons assembled for battle.
  • Fengbo Feilian and Yushi Pingyi taunted Xuanyuan and the Dragon Clan, while Xuanyuan warned Chiyou that the Witch Clan would be destroyed if it defied the rise of humanity.

Li Qingxu and Chiyou began their duel far from the Zhuolu Plains, while the Human Race ancestors struggled against Fengbo Feilian on the battlefield. Chiyou withstood Li Qingxu’s attacks, and Feng Bo remained dominant over the three ancestors.

  • Li Qingxu and Chiyou moved their fight tens of millions of miles from the Zhuolu Plains to avoid harming the battlefield.
