• Ancestral Dragon searched the human territories for the Three Sovereigns and Five Emperors, found Ji Xuanyuan's reincarnation, and appeared as a Five-Clawed Golden Dragon to protect him.

Kun Peng entered the Six Paths of Reincarnation to be reborn as a human, and Hong Yun defended the choice as Kun Peng’s own opportunity. After Zhen Yuan Zi and Tong Tian left Hong Yun alone with West Queen Mother, she said she had a request for him, while wondering whether he saw their relationship as only a debt to settle.

Hong Yun arrived to stop Ancestral Dragon from using Ji Xuanyuan to bind the Dragon Clan to humanity’s fortune, then let the essence blood enter Ji Xuanyuan’s body. Hong Yun’s own essence blood began refining it, leaving Ancestral Dragon regretting his gift as a streak of mystic light emerged.

• Hong Yun left West Queen Mother and appeared before Ancestral Dragon, who had been watching Ji Xuanyuan’s fortune.
• Ancestral Dragon claimed he had only meant to strengthen Ji Xuanyuan and help with the totem, while Hong Yun pointed out he could have been seeking a share of humanity’s fortune.

Ancestral Dragon left to return to the earth vein, while Hong Yun prepared to return to the human race and witness Shen Nong attaining the Dao.

Hong Yun investigated the disaster that struck Jingwei, while Ran Deng hesitated to enter human territory and obstruct the Human Sovereign’s path. Zhun Ti found Ran Deng and offered sympathy, and Ran Deng begged him for help avoiding Hong Yun’s wrath.

• Hong Yun activated the Great Dao of Karma to investigate what had happened to Jingwei in the East Sea.
• Ran Deng lingered outside human territory, worried that Hong Yun would seize him if he entered to carry out Yuan Shi’s task.
• Zhun Ti appeared before Ran Deng and considered recruiting him, noticing his dissatisfaction with the Chan Sect.

Zhun Ti advised Daoist Ran Deng to subtly complicate Shen Nong’s path without preventing his attainment of the Dao, helping him avoid defying Yuan Shi or provoking Hong Yun. Zhun Ti then gave Ran Deng a Western Sect cultivation method that resonated with his Great Dao, strengthening the prospect of bringing him into the Western Sect.

• Zhun Ti decided to help Daoist Ran Deng through his predicament and considered Ran Deng’s destiny tied to the West.
• Zhun Ti explained that harming Shen Nong’s loved ones could leave a flaw in Shen Nong’s heart without stopping him from attaining the Dao.

Zhun Ti guided Daoist Ran Deng in a plan to interfere with Shen Nong’s path to the Dao, while Hong Yun warned Wu Sheng that Jingwei would face a calamity in the East Sea. Wu Sheng accepted responsibility for protecting her and decided to enlist his fellow disciples.

• Daoist Ran Deng resisted practicing the Western Sect’s methods on Kunlun Mountain but promised Zhun Ti he would carry out their plan against Shen Nong.
• Wu Sheng brought Jingwei to Hong Yun, who accepted her as his disciple and gave her treasures.
• Hong Yun warned Wu Sheng that Jingwei would be targeted to undermine her father’s Dao heart and tasked him with keeping her safe in the East Sea.
• Wu Sheng left with Jingwei and realized he could call on his fellow disciples to confront whoever plotted against her.

As Shen Nong’s proof of the Dao drew near, Wu Tian and the others prepared for the danger Hong Yun had warned would threaten Jingwei in the East Sea. Jingwei vanished from Wu Sheng’s divine sense while playing in the water, then found herself trapped in a strange, isolated stretch of sea and called on Hong Yun for help.

• Wu Sheng told Wu Tian, Xuan Lang, and the others about Hong Yun’s warning concerning Jingwei, and Wu Tian praised her for bringing them together to plan.
• Wu Sheng proposed borrowing the Northern Profound Origin Water Control Banner, so Xuan Lang left for Golden Ao Island to ask his younger sisters for it.
• Jingwei continued her training with Wu Sheng and often went to play in the nearby East Sea, while Wu Sheng kept watch over her.
• After Jingwei went to the shore, Wu Sheng lost contact with the divine sense she had placed on her and rushed toward the sea as others hurried there too.
