Primordial Wilderness: I Am Hong Yun, and at the Start, I Traded My Saint Position for a Wife

Seeing the overwhelming thirst for knowledge in everyone's eyes,

Hongjun knew his original plan was viable—and nearly perfect!

If nothing unexpected happened, these three thousand deities would follow the story all the way to the end!

But now Hong Yun had asked this question.

He had no choice but to resolve the suspense right then and there.

Hongjun felt another surge of frustration, but with so many people watching, he could only keep his thoughts to himself.

He had also decided that, at the very least, he couldn't reveal the method of attaining the Dao just yet.

With that thought, Hongjun didn't ask Hong Yun to sit down. Instead, he began to speak:

"Above the Great Luo Realm lies the attainment of Primordial Unity—in other words, the Primordial Great Luo Golden Immortal!"

"Grand Unity Perfection is already the highest realm of Law cultivation!"

"You can enter chaos and open up a small world, but though you possess the Laws, you lack Dao resonance and cannot evolve intelligent life."

"Evolving intelligent life in this way is different from enlightening life in the lands of the Primordial Wilderness."

"Throughout the Primordial Wilderness, everything is steeped in Dao resonance. All things in heaven and earth have the foundation needed to develop intelligence. Once your cultivation of the Laws reaches a certain level, you can enlighten Spiritual Essence and awaken its intelligence."

"If you can break free of the restraints of the Laws, you can Transform Law into Dao and attain Primordial Unity!"

"You can open up a world in chaos and evolve life within it yourself!"

Only after hearing Hongjun's words did Hong Yun finally understand.

All these realms could be summed up as the "Art Realm, Law Realm, and Dao Realm."

What did it mean to attain the Dao?

If the Power of Law was like a racetrack, then everyone who mastered that Law was running on the same track!

How much they had comprehended determined how far ahead they were!

Of course, being ahead of everyone didn't mean you could claim the whole track for yourself.

But when fighting an enemy, the deeper your understanding, the more you could influence the Power of Law between heaven and earth.

If everything your side understood fell within what your enemy had already comprehended,

you might not even be able to wield the Power of Law in front of them!

The many Laws of heaven and earth in the Primordial Wilderness were woven together to form the Heavenly Dao!

To attain the Dao was to use the Power of Law one controlled to break through the barriers between Laws and weave one's own Dao.

At Grand Unity Perfection, one could attain the Dao.

But attaining the Dao didn't mean one had become a Primordial Great Luo Golden Immortal!

Only by cultivating that Dao to perfection and unifying it into Primordial Unity could one attain Primordial Unity.

Hongjun hadn't explained in detail the path of cultivation between Grand Unity Perfection and the Primordial Great Luo Golden Immortal.

But thanks to what Hong Yun knew of later generations, he understood that this was the Quasi-Saint realm!

Though one wasn't a Saint and hadn't reached the realm of the Primordial Great Luo Golden Immortal, one had established a Dao of one's own.

One could already enjoy some of a Saint's privileges in the Primordial Wilderness!

This realm sounded simple, but it was an intermediate stage between two qualitative transformations.

If one couldn't attain Primordial Unity, one could only remain trapped in this realm, endlessly increasing one's strength in quantity, but not in quality.

Even so, one was already far beyond the Great Luo Realm.

That was because the Dao one followed didn't just allow its founder to attain Primordial Unity!

Those who came later could follow that path and have a chance to reach the realm of Primordial Unity as well.

More importantly,

the more people cultivated this Dao, the more there were to help comprehend the Power of Law!

The more Laws a Dao encompassed, and the deeper the understanding of them,

the stronger it naturally became!

As for the Heavenly Dao, it governed all the Powers of Law in the Primordial Wilderness and had been left behind when Pan Gu created the world.

Naturally, it was the strongest Dao in the Primordial World!

No wonder Hongjun had created the Immortal Dao and attained Primordial Unity through it, yet still wanted to merge with the Heavenly Dao!

After Primordial Unity, one could cultivate a single Dao or many.

The more one cultivated, the stronger one naturally became!

After finishing his explanation, Hongjun looked at the crowd again. Seeing the anticipation in their eyes and the thoughtful looks on their faces,

he couldn't help feeling pleased with himself!

Then he looked at Hong Yun, who had tilted his head and was pondering deeply, and thought:

That ought to have stunned you all, right?

He was about to ask Hong Yun to sit down and begin explaining his method of cultivating the Immortal Dao.

But before he could speak, Hong Yun bowed again!

Then he asked another question:

"May I ask, Saint, what realm lies above attaining Primordial Unity?"

Hongjun was stunned.

You're still asking?

But he had only just attained Primordial Unity himself. He still needed to explore the path ahead, so how could he possibly answer right away?

He stared at Hong Yun for a long while.

Hong Yun continued to face him with a respectful expression, looking eager to learn.

Hongjun could only gather his thoughts and continue answering.

He had no concrete divisions of the realms above Primordial Unity, so all he could offer was his vision of the path ahead.

"Above Primordial Unity, a single Dao is already perfected. You could say that this realm has reached the pinnacle of Primordial Unity."

"But within chaos, there are countless myriads of Daos!"

"Every Dao can open up a world. Once you have cultivated one Dao, you should cultivate countless myriads more!"

"After immeasurable kalpas, when all the Daos return to one, that will be the Great Dao!"

As he spoke, a light of longing even appeared in Hongjun's eyes.

"The Great Dao transcends all concepts. It is omnipresent, and all karma, time, and fate collapse into a single point!"

"From that moment on, attaining it once means attaining it forever. Across every timeline and every world, the Great Dao will be present!"

"It is the beginning of all things and the end of all things. The birth and destruction of worlds happen with a single thought!"

"This is true eternity! The end of all cultivation!"

Hongjun let out a final sigh.

Everyone was infected by his feelings and began to yearn for the Great Dao!

Taiqing Laozi's eyes shimmered, and a faint smile touched his lips.

After finishing his lament, Hongjun noticed Taiqing's expression and asked:

"Taiqing, why are you smiling?"

Taiqing Laozi rose and bowed respectfully before replying to Hongjun:

"After hearing the Saint speak, the path ahead is clear, and my heart is filled with joy!"

"The road is long and arduous, but we who cultivate the Dao must press forward with all our might!"

Hearing Taiqing Laozi's words, Hongjun was more than satisfied.

His eldest disciple, whom he had long since chosen, had such a strong desire to seek the Dao. Hongjun felt a trace of joy in his heart.

He smiled and nodded to Taiqing, speaking warmly:

"Sit down."

Then he turned to Hong Yun and said the same.

Hong Yun and Taiqing said together:

"Thank you, Saint!"

The two sat down, and Hongjun swept his gaze over the crowd once more. After everyone had settled down,

he began his lecture, starting with the realm of the Heavenly Immortal.
