"I really should have killed you back then." Obito looked at Yu and spoke with utmost seriousness.
"But you didn't," Yu replied.
"Now I deeply regret the choice I made back then. I thought someone as insignificant as you wouldn't pose any threat to me.
"But I was wrong. Every member of the Uchiha clan has an unpredictable future." Obito looked at Yu as he spoke.
"It's just like you were back then.
"According to the information I've gathered, Obito Uchiha was a notorious dead last at the Ninja Academy. But now you possess strength that stands at the pinnacle of the Shinobi World. You're a true genius." Yu spoke to Obito, a hint of admiration in his voice.
"But what I want to ask is, the Uchiha clan never did anything to you. Why did you make this choice?"
He had just finished speaking when Yu changed the subject and asked that question.
After a second or two, Obito answered, "I want to create an ideal world without war, hatred, or class divisions. As for destroying the Uchiha clan, it's because I feared a scene like this happening."

But when Yu heard Obito's words, he burst out laughing.
"From what I know, that's not the real reason! Obito Uchiha was quite the romantic. Even at a young age, he was deeply in love with Rin Nohara, a girl on his team.
"So everything you've done—is it really because of that girl named Rin Nohara?"
