I Found You

The moment the five of them looked toward those eyes, they felt an irresistible devouring force descend upon them. Their surroundings twisted into utterly incomprehensible scenes, shifting endlessly like a kaleidoscope. Their bodies changed shape countless times. Even when they lowered their heads, they could not see that their bodies existed at all, yet they could sense themselves becoming bizarre, indescribable things. Only then did they come back to their senses.

Those eyes appeared above them. Only now could they vaguely make out that their owner was some immense being beyond description, one whose physical existence could not even be confirmed.

The dimensions here were profoundly abstract and strange. Things beyond their understanding would immediately manifest as real the moment the thought arose, while things within their understanding did not exist at all—such as gravity, or physical laws like the constancy of the speed of light.

They could create such things from nothing through thought alone, but here, those things seemed to have no need to exist at all...

That was why they could not tell what form the vast, blurry body before them took, or whether it truly existed at all...

A thought that struck directly at their souls arose in all five minds at once.
