Morning came to Silvermoon City. A breeze swept through its ancient streets, where few people passed. This city, which had endured countless hardships, had once been the center of High Elf civilization. Now, with its population greatly reduced by war and many people having gone to work at Sunwell Paradise, the city felt empty.

The new Sun King, Kael'thas, stood in the Royal Palace, waiting for his guests.

Soon, bronze light flared in the courtyard. Chromie appeared in Silvermoon City's Royal Palace with Deren.

Kael'thas immediately stepped forward to welcome them. "Oh, Advisor Deren, what brings you here? Is Jaina well?"

Deren grabbed the Sun King's hand and said in a low voice, "It's serious. Let's find somewhere quiet to discuss it."

Kael'thas frowned. "All right. Follow me!"

The three entered a secret chamber and dismissed the attendants. Chromie cast a spell to block out the outside world, then idly picked up the Hourglass Staff and played with it.

Deren first explained Jaina's situation, leaving Kael'thas greatly shocked. The High Elves had deeply studied magic as well, but he had never heard of a spell that could split a person into two.

Uncertainly, he asked, "Advisor Deren, have you come to Quel'Thalas because you need my help?"

Deren nodded. "Yes. I want to borrow someone from you."

"Who?"

"A High Elf named Valeera Sanguinar," Deren replied.

Kael'thas pondered for a moment, then suddenly remembered something. "Valeera... I know her. Last time I went to Feralas to contact the Sindra, they told me there was another High Elf compatriot in the Ogre arena. I rescued her while I was there. She now lives in the forest outside Silvermoon City and often trains some elves."

Upon hearing this, Deren rose excitedly. "That's wonderful. Can you take us to find her?"

Kael'thas hesitated.
