Pool of Foresight, Ghost of a City

The Tauren Druid Hamuul did not take the bag of coins. Instead, he stared at Deren and said in a deep voice, "Stranger, gold is of no use to Druids. Tell me your true purpose."

Deren knew he had been too hasty and immediately began his introduction again. "I am Deren Losen, from Theramore. A neutral city."

Then he pointed at the duplicate Jaina. "This is Lo'gosh, an amnesiac gladiator. She needs to visit the Pool of Foresight and see whether she can recover her memories."

Hearing that it was merely such a trivial matter, Hamuul nodded. "No problem. Helping others is a Tauren virtue." As he spoke, he put away the bag of coins.

Surprised that the Tauren Druid was so easy to talk to, Deren hurriedly added, "Lo'gosh will need someone else to accompany her to the Pool of Foresight, and we'll need to arrange for a Cave Elemental in the cave. Would that be possible?"

"A Cave Elemental?" Hamuul asked curiously. "That will be difficult. Where am I supposed to find a Cave Elemental on such short notice?"

Deren's eyes shifted. "As long as it's an elemental, I have a companion who can enslave a Fire Elemental. Can we summon one at the Pool of Foresight? It only needs to appear briefly, heat the pool water, and then be destroyed by Lo'gosh's spell."

"What does that mean? Why make things so complicated?" Hamuul asked in confusion.

Deren could not be bothered to explain, so he simply said, "Some big shots need to see it. We have to play through this script."

As he spoke, he pointed at the sky and added, "Above the stars, the ruler of all things. King of the gods, director of fate."
