Secrets of the Old Gods

Deren found a blackboard and wrote the names of several Old Gods on it: N'Zoth, C'Thun, Yogg-Saron, Y'Shaarj, and Sargathas.

"Look, is there any problem with writing them this way?" Deren still sought the Old God lady's opinion first. After all, his memories might not fully align with the Azeroth universe of reality.

Sargathas was no longer surprised that Deren knew so much. He had written the names of all five Old Gods without a single mistake. She nodded. "If my memory is correct, the names you wrote are fine."

The others, however, wore incredulous expressions. Varian stared blankly at his petite wife, who was actually listed alongside the renowned Old Gods, even though he had long known her identity.

Jaina and Aegwynn, meanwhile, looked at Deren and marveled that this guy really seemed to know a little about everything.

Deren wrote another word beneath the names of the five Old Gods: Kael'thas (K'aresh).

Despite being mentally prepared, Sargathas was still deeply shocked. "You even know about Kael'thas."

"I'm not trying to shock you. Take a look at the names of these five Old Gods and Kael'thas. Have you noticed anything?" Deren asked with a smile.

Hearing that, everyone began studying the names.

Jaina spoke first. "These names all contain separators. They seem to indicate that the parts before and after them have different meanings."

Aegwynn nodded as well. "Among the five Old Gods, three have capital letters before the separator. That seems to represent some specific power. For example, N'Zoth possesses the power of nightmares, so it is N. The others are harder to guess."

"Why is Kael'thas written so similarly to the Old Gods' names?" Varian had learned of Kael'thas from Sargathas, so he immediately noticed the unusual coincidence.

"What is Kael'thas?" Jaina asked.
