Theramore's Elf District.
The ground was paved with smooth Stone Tablets, and tall trees had been planted along both sides. After several years, they had grown much taller, their branches lush and full. Sunlight filtered through the leaves, casting mottled shadows across the road.
"This way. There's a couple here with a baby just over three months old." Expressionless, Sylvanas led Deren, Kael'thas, and the others to an Elf residence.
"Knock, knock!" She stepped forward and knocked on the door.
The door soon opened, and a male Elf emerged. He glanced at them, then bowed respectfully to Sylvanas. "Hello, General Windrunner!"
Sylvanas pointed at the group behind her. "We're here to check on the matter we discussed last time. Let's talk inside."
"Of course!" The male High Elf swept his gaze over Kael'thas and the others, stepped aside, and gestured for them to enter.
Sylvanas led the way inside, followed by Kael'thas and Verina. Deren and Jaina came in last.
The room inside was not large, consisting only of a combined living and dining room, but it was kept very clean. The male Elf had everyone sit around the table, then brewed a cup of tea for each of them.
He glanced at Kael'thas. "Your Highness, it has been a long time. I never expected you to visit the humble home of a craftsman like me."
"You should address him as Your Majesty now. You haven't returned to Quel'Thalas in years, so you're rather out of touch with the news." Verina corrected him. She had been summoned back from the Ashenvale front to play a role in this act, and she did not mind it much. Still, hearing her husband called Your Highness made her slightly unhappy.
The male Elf awkwardly scratched the back of his head and hurriedly apologized.
