Doomhammer was notorious to some extent, and it also served as the symbol of the Orc Invasion.
So Shandris spotted it at a glance. But she did not cry out, instead asking Saurfang routinely, "Where is your Great Chieftain? We heard rumors that he was injured."
Saurfang wore a look of barely contained sorrow, saying flatly, "The Great Chieftain only suffered a minor injury. He returned to Orgrimmar to recuperate. The front lines need peace, so he sent me to convey this sentiment."
"Peace?" Shandris sneered. "It was you Orcs who invaded our Ashenvale. You killed so many of our elven kin, and you agreed to a peace treaty only to constantly violate it. You cannot simply talk about peace when you are at the end of your rope."
Saurfang lowered his head in shame, seeming to grieve for past events, and he stammered, "Now the orcs have no hope; the valley forests in the rear are withered, the prey has fled, and there is nothing we can do."
"That is just retribution for you invaders!" Shandris said angrily.
"Both sides of us have paid a price for this war, and the Great Chieftain hopes we can maintain peace and have no more conflicts," Saurfang said humbly.
"Go back! I need to report to the High Priestess and make a decision." Not giving a definitive reply either, Shandris dismissed Saurfang first.
The old orc looked utterly dejected, his back arched as if he had aged considerably. The personal guard who closely followed him stepped forward, holding Doomhammer in one hand and supporting him with the other. Then the two of them slowly walked away, disappearing from Shandris's field of vision.
Not until the two orcs were out of sight did a triumphant smile appear on Shandris's face. She immediately turned
