"Who was so bold as to challenge our Dragon Race?"
Amid a burst of red teleportation light, the breathtaking Red Dragon Queen Alexstrasza appeared before everyone.
She glanced at Chromie, then at the hesitant Wolf God Goldrin.
At last, she sighed. "So it was an old friend, Goldrin. It seemed there had been some misunderstanding."
A trace of nostalgia appeared in Goldrin's wolf eyes as he said awkwardly, "So it was the Red Dragon Queen. We fought side by side during the War of the Ancients."
"All right, enough reminiscing. Why did you come here? Chronormu said you were challenging the Dragon Race. What was going on? Was there some misunderstanding? Do me a favor and let this matter go," Alexstrasza said in one breath, immediately defining the whole affair as a misunderstanding.
She had already given Goldrin a huge way out. During the War of the Ancients, when the Burning Legion invaded, Alexstrasza had led the dragonflight in battle alongside the Wild Gods.
But there had been a vast gap in strength. Alexstrasza was the top fighter among dragons, exceptionally powerful and always at the forefront of battle. As for the Wild Gods, quite a few of them had perished. The Wolf God was one of the luckier survivors, so he naturally knew just how formidable the Red Dragon Queen was.
Now, with a single question—"Was it a misunderstanding?"—she had given him more than enough face. If he failed to appreciate it and still insisted on demanding some artifact back, then what followed probably would not be a misunderstanding, but a one-sided beating.
"Yes, yes, there was a bit of a misunderstanding." Goldrin nodded cooperatively. "Let this matter end here."
"Good. Then go back, and don't come here again." Alexstrasza waved her hand, signaling that the matter was over.
