She solemnly instructed, "When you see Oni, tell her this: I'll guard the home. Deren's safety comes before everything else."
"Don't worry!" Chromie patted her chest and promised. "I'll bring Deren back safe and sound, completely intact! If he loses even a single hair, I lose!"
At that moment, Jaina came down from upstairs and handed over a necklace gleaming with silver light. "This is a protective charm the Star Soul asked me to give Deren. It can protect him and all of you."
Chromie carefully accepted it and put it away solemnly. "Leave it to me!"
The next second, her figure vanished from the spot, leaving behind only a promise echoing through the air: "Wait for me, Deren!"

A sphere of azure light slowly drifted before Stellagosa. Starlight swirled within it, as though it concealed secrets from countless ages.
