A woman dressed in something resembling a military uniform, with a battered little bear hanging from her chest and heavy dark circles under her eyes, pulled out a packet of instant coffee from a drawer, tore it open, poured it into a coffee cup, and then added an excessive amount of sugar.
Before long, a cup of coffee that looked like something only Miss BX would enjoy was placed before a certain guest.
"Please." The listless analyst said to the golden-eyed boy before her.
"No need."
After merely glancing at the large amount of undissolved sugar in the cup, the boy politely declined.
"I assume Analyst Reine Murasame did not come to see me just for tea."
"What a remarkably straightforward child."
Seeing that Li Zihan had not picked up the coffee, Reine Murasame brought it before herself, cradled it in both hands, and took small sips.
"So, what did you come to see me for?"
The golden-eyed boy looked at this woman with an almost eternal lifespan with interest. He was rather curious about what this Primal Spirit wanted from him.
"You are not actually a Spirit, are you?"
Having drunk a large amount of sugary coffee, the analyst dropped a startling remark.
"What makes you say that?" the boy, whose rank was just a little higher than that of a Spirit, asked in return.
"I perfectly fit this world's definition of a Spirit."
Reine Murasame had been observing him for a long time. She had continuously used her near-omniscient power to observe the boy before her, yet all she could see was vague information, like a shadow within fog.
She was already certain that although this guy appeared extremely similar to a Spirit on the surface, it could not change the fact that he was fundamentally different from
