Arc 2The Rise of Heisenberg

Heisenberg consolidated control over New York, built his organization into the Justice League, and drew S.H.I.E.L.D. and Tony Stark into his plans. As Loki prepared to use the Space Stone against Earth, Banner sealed the Cosmic Cube and Heisenberg received an unexpected wedding invitation from Tony.

  • The Ancient One agreed not to obstruct Heisenberg, while S.H.I.E.L.D. and Hydra moved against Purple Man and Heisenberg helped Jessica kill him.
  • After Hydra seized control of S.H.I.E.L.D. and unleashed Hulk, Heisenberg defeated Hulk, Pierce was killed by Rumlow, and Rumlow pledged the surviving Hydra forces to Heisenberg.
  • Heisenberg arranged for Hill and Nick Fury to return from the Skrulls, killed Fury, and watched Hill take charge of rebuilding S.H.I.E.L.D. while his own forces expanded across New York.
  • Heisenberg crushed the city’s remaining gang leadership, fought Tony Stark over the protesters, and used Origin Matter to remove Tony’s Curse of Knowledge, prompting Tony to propose to Pepper.
  • Heisenberg named Bullseye his successor, appointed Crossbones chief instructor, and announced the Justice League as his organization extended its influence beyond New York’s underworld.
  • Loki bargained with Thanos for an army and the Mind Stone, then joined the Chitauri fleet and tried to connect with the Space Stone.
  • At Pegasus Base, Banner rejected Selvig’s proposal to trigger the Cosmic Cube and sealed it, while Heisenberg ordered Billy to take over the police system’s funding after crushing it.
  • Billy told Heisenberg that Tony had invited him to the wedding the following week, and Heisenberg reacted with disbelief.

Ch. 26I'm Cracking Apart

Heisenberg met with The Ancient One, who assured him she would not oppose his plans, then hurried back to New York. As S.H.I.E.L.D. and Hydra prepared to capture Purple Man near Heisenberg’s mansion, Heisenberg sent Eliza to observe the operation.

  • The Ancient One told Heisenberg that Vishanti had informed her of his arrival and that she would not obstruct his plans for humanity.
  • The Ancient One briefly transformed into a young woman, unsettling Heisenberg with the possibility that he had become her lover in some futures.
  • Heisenberg returned home and reflected on the possibility of saving The Ancient One, while Natasha spoke with Jane Foster at a café.
  • S.H.I.E.L.D. and Hydra located Purple Man in Hell’s Kitchen, less than eight hundred meters from Heisenberg’s mansion, and assembled a team to arrest him.
  • Heisenberg and Jessica held a drinking contest at his nightclub, and Heisenberg beat her by thirty-two bottles.
  • Eliza told Heisenberg that agents were gathering near Purple Man’s apartment, and Heisenberg ordered her to go but not rush into the operation.

Ch. 27I Am Hydra

Purple Man’s attempt to control the agents sent to capture him exposed Hydra infiltrators and sparked a battle between S.H.I.E.L.D., Hydra, and Eliza’s gang. Heisenberg seized Purple Man and carried him off in a car, offering Jessica the chance to finish him.

  • Captain America, Barton, and Grant Ward’s agents stormed Purple Man’s apartment, where Purple Man controlled most of the attackers.
  • Purple Man forced the agents to identify themselves, revealing that many were Hydra operatives working under John Garrett; Captain America broke free and attacked him.
  • Outside the apartment, Eliza arrived with reinforcements, and Garrett ordered his agents to attack as the opposing groups opened fire.
  • Eliza falsely claimed Crossbones was one of her people, then used the confusion to join her gang and fight the agents.
  • Purple Man escaped to his Chevrolet, but Heisenberg lifted the car into the sky and ignored Purple Man’s control.
  • Heisenberg called Jessica and told her to wait on his roof, promising Purple Man if she destroyed the falling car without damaging the roof.

Ch. 28A Genuine Piece of Trash

Heisenberg crippled Purple Man and left Jessica to discover and kill him, then encountered the battle between S.H.I.E.L.D. and Hydra. He recruited Crossbones for a meeting but refused Coulson’s request to intervene, leaving S.H.I.E.L.D. to handle its own war.

  • Heisenberg tore Purple Man’s frontal lobe with Heat Vision, took Captain America’s shield, and dropped Purple Man’s car onto Jessica.
  • Jessica smashed the car, recognized Purple Man, and beat him to death beside Heisenberg’s pool.
  • As Coulson’s S.H.I.E.L.D. agents fought John Garrett’s Hydra forces, Eliza tried to recruit Crossbones, who introduced himself as Brock Rumlow.
  • Heisenberg arrived, told Rumlow that Alexander Pierce’s Hydra faction would soon be exposed, and invited him to a meeting at the Nightclub.
  • Heisenberg ordered Eliza to withdraw with Rumlow, then refused Coulson’s plea for help and flew away.

Ch. 29I'm Not Clean Anymore

Nick Fury discovered that most of Captain America's task force were Hydra agents, while a Skrull posing as Agent Hill escaped to seek Heisenberg's protection. Heisenberg tasked Eliza and Crossbones with building his organization, then learned the Hill he had been attracted to was an alien impostor.

  • Nick Fury ordered S.H.I.E.L.D. branches to hunt Hydra infiltrators, but the communications system blocked his orders as agents closed in.
  • Tiatel stayed behind to draw fire while Arida escaped the Three-Winged Building and headed for Heisenberg.
  • Heisenberg recruited Crossbones to identify and organize Hydra talent, and assigned Eliza to mobilize Kingpin's global network and protect Crossbones's recruits.
  • A blast destroyed Heisenberg's rooftop recliner, and a Skrull disguised as Agent Hill asked him to shelter her and another Skrull in exchange for a spacecraft.
  • The Skrull revealed her green form, and Heisenberg recoiled after realizing the woman he had wanted was an impostor.

Ch. 30He Has Arrived!

Heisenberg agreed to shelter the Skrull refugees in exchange for Arida’s help and ordered Jessica to escort her to them. Meanwhile, Alexander Pierce launched Hydra’s war against S.H.I.E.L.D., and Sitwell’s men opened Bruce Banner’s cell, provoking the giant to break free.

  • Heisenberg questioned Arida about the Skrulls and agreed to help them if she arranged for the real Nick Fury to be brought before him.
  • Heisenberg promised the Skrulls an ecological planet and sent Arida to find Jessica so she could escort her people from their lunar base.
  • Alexander Pierce ordered Zola to lock down S.H.I.E.L.D.’s networks, declared war, and told Sitwell to unleash the Beast and kill Nick Fury’s allies.
  • Sitwell rallied Hydra agents inside the Three-Winged Building and ordered them to draw the Beast toward the streets while Hydra attacked the White House.
  • Sitwell’s team opened Bruce Banner’s room and threw grenades inside, causing the giant to break free.

Ch. 31You Have No Right to Represent Earth

Hydra agents released Hulk from the Three-Winged Building, while Tony Stark and Captain America responded to the chaos and fought Hydra agents. On the moon, Talos refused Nick Fury’s request to return to Earth and ordered Nick and Agent Hill imprisoned, insisting that S.H.I.E.L.D. could not represent Earth.

  • Hydra agents used sonic weapons to enrage Hulk, who escaped by smashing through the facility’s walls.
  • Tony Stark heard explosions at the Three-Winged Building, contacted Captain America, and learned that Hydra had infiltrated S.H.I.E.L.D. and Hulk was loose.
  • Captain America left Barton and Melinda to handle the fight, rushed to Coulson, and demanded to know why Nick Fury had not coordinated the response.
  • Talos refused to connect Nick Fury to Earth, and Nick pleaded with him to send him back.
  • After Skrulls brought in the captured Agent Hill, Talos ordered her and Nick locked up separately and declared that they could not represent Earth.

Ch. 32Hulk Hates Little Bugs

Jessica helped Arida reach the real Nick Fury, who agreed to fake his public death and hand over himself and Hill to Heisenberg. At S.H.I.E.L.D. Academy, Hulk saw Nick Fury fall and attacked, and Tony arrived just as Hulk cornered Jessica.

  • Jessica destroyed the turrets guarding the Three-Winged Building, fought through S.H.I.E.L.D. agents, and brought Arida to Nick Fury.
  • Nick Fury agreed to die publicly as part of the deal with Heisenberg, then went with Arida and Jessica to S.H.I.E.L.D. Academy.
  • Fitz searched the academy for Simmons as a huge green monster burst from underground.
  • A gunshot struck Nick Fury in the chest in the academy plaza, and Hulk charged toward his fallen body.
  • Jessica kicked Hulk away from Nick Fury and fought him until he slapped her into the academy library.
  • Hulk cornered Jessica, but Tony arrived and fired missiles at Hulk's head.

Ch. 33Three Punches...

Heisenberg rescued Jessica by knocking Hulk unconscious with three punches and returned Bruce Banner to New York, while his people helped civilians injured in the battle. Meanwhile, Captain America’s return helped S.H.I.E.L.D. defeat Hydra in New York, but Pierce fled with his allies before Rumlow killed him aboard the plane.

  • Heisenberg heard Jessica groan, rushed to S.H.I.E.L.D. Academy, and punched Hulk through the city before kicking him from Earth to the moon and back down to the Sahara.
  • Heisenberg found Bruce Banner unconscious in the Sahara, brought him to New York, and ordered Bullseye to send their people to help injured civilians.
  • Captain America, Coulson, Melinda May, and other agents reinforced the Three-Winged Building, where Captain America helped end the fighting and more than two thousand Hydra Agents surrendered.
  • Alexander Pierce escaped New York by plane with Sitwell, Crossbones, and his other confidants, then planned to meet Madame Viper in London and target S.H.I.E.L.D. forces abroad.
  • After Pierce dismissed his friendship with Nick Fury, Rumlow stabbed Pierce through the heart and said they had each served their own cause.

Ch. 34A Bountiful Harvest

Rumlow killed Alexander Pierce, rallied Hydra’s surviving American elites around Heisenberg, and returned them to New York to rebuild. Heisenberg woke to find Banner still unconscious and discovered that the previous day’s upheaval had earned him 625,477.262 cubic units of Origin Matter.

  • Rumlow killed Pierce and argued that Hydra needed a powerful leader, then called Heisenberg to offer him the surviving American elites’ loyalty.
  • Heisenberg told Rumlow’s hackers to find footage of his fight with Hulk, and the agents watched the battle before accepting Heisenberg as their new boss.
  • Rumlow ordered the plane back to New York, where his agents landed at a former Kingpin airfield and blended into the Nuke Gang.
  • Heisenberg woke, covered the unconscious Banner, and left clothes beside him before going downstairs to eat lunch.
  • Heisenberg checked his gains and found that the previous day had earned him 625,477.262 cubic units of Origin Matter.

Ch. 35Little Spider

Heisenberg spent his new wealth, explored a calmer New York, and gave his old watch to young Peter Parker in Queens. After returning home, he planned to use Hydra, the Cosmic Cube, and coming alien threats to strengthen his influence over Earth.

  • Heisenberg eliminated his genetic weakness to Kryptonite and asked Billy to recruit two Chinese chefs.
  • Heisenberg visited Hell's Kitchen and learned Bullseye had calmed residents with free drinks and an order forbidding street trouble.
  • Heisenberg found eight-year-old Peter Parker at home, gave him his watch, and revealed himself as Superman before flying away.
  • Heisenberg returned to his rooftop and planned to help Hydra oppose S.H.I.E.L.D. while drawing the US Government into Cosmic Cube research.
  • Heisenberg planned to use Thor's foolish little brother, Chitauri technology, and Iron Man's new energy to create crises and push Earth toward leaving the Solar System.

Ch. 36I Bit Someone

Heisenberg returned to the Origin Universe, learned how deeply his parents had grieved over his disappearance, and created a copy of his former self to go back to them. After learning that an Order Keeper’s purpose was to bring change to stagnant universes, he returned to Marvel and resumed planning to accelerate S.H.I.E.L.D.’s Cosmic Cube research.

  • Heisenberg paused the Marvel Universe and spent 186 units of Origin Matter to learn what had happened in Phoenix City during his eleven-day absence.
  • He learned that his parents had searched desperately for him, then used 226 units of Origin Matter to create his former self with his pre-transmigration memories and send him to them.
  • Heisenberg questioned the system about the purpose of an Order Keeper and learned that his role was to bring change and balance to different universes.
  • He returned to Marvel, decided that Hill should become S.H.I.E.L.D. director ahead of schedule, and planned to make the Skrulls send Nick Fury and Hill back sooner.
  • On Origin Earth, the recreated Heisenberg was arrested after his friends reported their card game, and he insisted that he had been kidnapped by aliens.

Ch. 37Another Advanced Achievement

Heisenberg confirmed that the Skrulls would honor their agreement and demanded that they hand over Hill and Nick Fury by that night. After forcing Hulk to fight him on Mars, he returned with Bruce Banner unconscious and sent him to S.H.I.E.L.D.

  • Bullseye told Heisenberg that footage of him defeating Hulk had gone viral, then described plans to distribute fuel and toasters to New York residents.
  • Heisenberg summoned two Skrulls and told them he wanted Hill and Nick Fury in exchange for providing their people with a suitable planet.
  • Heisenberg woke Banner by striking him with Heat Vision, and Hulk attacked him despite remembering their previous fight.
  • Heisenberg took Hulk to Mars and fought him for two and a half hours until Hulk stopped appearing.
  • Heisenberg ordered Billy to take the unconscious Banner to S.H.I.E.L.D. to cause trouble for the recovering organization.

Ch. 38Thrown Into the Deep End

Steve Rogers accepted responsibility for rebuilding S.H.I.E.L.D. after Hydra’s betrayal and issued orders to protect its remnants. When Bruce Banner returned from Heisenberg unconscious, the doctors admitted they were afraid to treat his malnutrition in case a needle brought Hulk back.

  • Coulson reported S.H.I.E.L.D.’s catastrophic losses, the disappearance of Commander Hill, and the Chinese Representative’s demand that the organization be dissolved.
  • Coulson persuaded Rogers to preserve S.H.I.E.L.D. because it was Peggy’s legacy, and Rogers took the director’s role despite doubting his management abilities.
  • Rogers ordered Coulson to gather intelligence, Barton to find Natasha and protect Thor’s girlfriend, and Melinda to hunt John Garrett, Alexander Pierce, and other Hydra leaders.
  • Coulson told Rogers that Heisenberg had returned Bruce Banner and that Banner might be a powerful ally against Hydra.
  • Rogers visited the unconscious Banner and learned that the doctors feared giving him an IV in case it caused Hulk to reappear.

Ch. 39Goodbye, Egghead

Heisenberg received Nick Fury and Hill from Talos, freed Hill, and confronted Fury over his choices and trust in the Skrulls. After Fury explained his faith in his powerful friend, Heisenberg killed him, leaving his body to be disposed of at sea.

  • Talos brought the bound Nick Fury and Hill to Heisenberg’s rooftop, then left Earth after Heisenberg dismissed him.
  • Heisenberg freed Hill and sent her away, then removed Fury’s shackles and shared drinks with him.
  • Fury admitted he had given up because Heisenberg had outmaneuvered him, and Heisenberg challenged his trust in the Skrulls and his friend.
  • Fury explained that he trusted Talos because he believed in the power of his friend, a woman like the sun.
  • Heisenberg killed Fury with his heat vision, and Billy and his men later took the body out to sea to sink it.

Ch. 40I Am Order

Hill took command of S.H.I.E.L.D. and reorganized its priorities after the agency’s devastating losses. Two months later, Heisenberg’s forces had taken control of much of New York, and he ordered his lieutenants to impose his rules across the city.

  • Hill reversed many of Captain America's orders, moved S.H.I.E.L.D. to the Helicarrier, and assigned agents to rebuild the organization and develop Project Pegasus.
  • Bullseye reported that Heisenberg’s forces had crushed most of New York’s gangs, expanded to more than seventy thousand people, and gained control of nightlife venues, smuggling routes, and company shares.
  • Heisenberg asked Matt whether Hell’s Kitchen had improved, and Matt agreed that their work had made it more stable.
  • Bullseye told Heisenberg that New York’s gang leaders wanted to meet him, but Heisenberg rejected a return to Kingpin’s rules and demanded that all remaining bosses be eliminated.
  • Heisenberg ordered Bullseye to finish defeating the gangs, Matt to draft laws for their organization, and Eliza to train its ordinary thugs.

Ch. 41Jesus Couldn't Save Them

Heisenberg experimented with expanding his Bio-field, then left the Nightclub to confront a march of gang members protesting his rule over New York. He ordered Bullseye to mobilize forces against the city’s gangs and summoned their leaders to his Nightclub the next afternoon.

  • Heisenberg used his Bio-field to redirect raindrops, accidentally shattering the villa’s glass skylight, and decided to practice in the suburbs.
  • Heisenberg visited the Nightclub, where Barbara complained that S.H.I.E.L.D. had left her without contact or useful assignments.
  • Heisenberg sensed trouble, went to the rooftop, and saw more than eight hundred people marching against him and his control of New York.
  • Heisenberg called Bullseye, ordered him to coordinate with Rumlow and prepare forces to eliminate every New York gang the following night.
  • Heisenberg told Bullseye to summon every remaining gang leader to the Nightclub at three the next afternoon and threatened to scatter their ashes into the Pacific Ocean.

Ch. 42Tony's Misery

Heisenberg attacked the protesters outside his building, but Iron Man saved them, prompting Heisenberg to seize and berate Tony Stark. He left Tony unharmed and invited him and Pepper to sit down for a drink, explaining that his anger was aimed at the protest organizers, not them.

  • Heisenberg threw his phone at the protesters, then sent a massive sheet of ice crashing toward the crowd.
  • Iron Man destroyed the falling ice with missiles, saving the protesters and strengthening their resolve.
  • Heisenberg flew at Tony, crushed Iron Man’s armor, and accused him of protecting criminals and encouraging the people opposing his peacekeeping efforts.
  • Heisenberg carried Tony through several buildings and pinned him against a wall, while protecting him from injury with his Biological Field.
  • Pepper rushed to Tony’s aid and pleaded with Heisenberg, who released Tony and reassured her that he had not hurt him.
  • Heisenberg poured drinks for himself, Tony, and Pepper, and told them that he was angry at the protesters and their organizers rather than at them.

Ch. 43Goodbye, Iron Man

Heisenberg decided to prevent Tony from becoming a future threat by removing the Curse of Knowledge and changing Tony’s subconscious to prioritize family. Tony’s feelings changed that night, and he proposed to Pepper while expressing how much he missed his father.

  • Heisenberg argued with Tony about his treatment of the protesters, apologized to Pepper, and warned Tony that he neglected family for heroism.
  • Heisenberg sent Jessica to follow the protest leaders and break their legs, then used Origin Matter to remove Tony’s Curse of Knowledge and make family his highest priority.
  • Tony left his laboratory feeling confused and inadequate, and Pepper comforted him.
  • Tony proposed to Pepper, told her he loved her and their future children, and said he missed his father.
  • Heisenberg watched Stark Tower and said goodbye to the future Iron Man.

Ch. 44Is Everyone Here?

Heisenberg gathered New York’s gang bosses under the pretense of a meeting, then had Bullseye’s men kill them all and ordered his crew to take control of the city’s underworld. Meanwhile, Bruce Banner discovered that the Cosmic Cube was behaving abnormally, prompting Maria Hill to rush toward Pegasus Base and prepare for a possible evacuation.

  • Heisenberg woke from his nap, ate lunch, and told Billy to summon him when the gang bosses arrived.
  • Heisenberg confirmed that every New York gang boss was present, then left as Bullseye and his men opened fire and killed them.
  • Heisenberg ordered Bullseye to join Rumlow’s forces in taking over New York’s underworld and told Jessica and Billy to handle cleanup and their work.
  • Bruce Banner settled into his research role at Project Pegasus and received a call from Professor Selvig about abnormal Cosmic Cube readings.
  • Banner found the Cube increasingly active and requested an evacuation of Pegasus Base after a small energy surge.
  • Maria Hill ordered Banner not to touch the Cube, then redirected the Helicarrier to Pegasus Base and prepared to abandon the research.

Ch. 45I Really Miss My Little Brother

Heisenberg consolidated his control over New York as the police and S.H.I.E.L.D. accepted that they could not oppose him. Meanwhile, Project Pegasus studied the Cosmic Cube, and Thor continued asking Heimdall about Loki while seeking a way to travel to Midgard.

  • Director George Stacy learned that Heisenberg’s forces had destroyed the Cannon Gang and killed leaders from seventeen New York gangs, then left for City Hall to confront the mayor.
  • Barbara reported to Hill that Heisenberg’s forces were absorbing Kingpin’s and Hydra’s remnants, led by Rumlow and including Sitwell, and guessed that Alexander Pierce had died.
  • Heisenberg concluded that the government would tolerate his rule over New York until it developed a weapon against him, and considered weakening its public credibility to expand his influence.
  • At Pegasus Base, Dr. Banner, Professor Selvig, Jane Foster, and Daisy Louise discussed energy leaking from the Cosmic Cube.
  • Thor pressed Heimdall for news of Loki and asked to go to Midgard, while Heimdall suspected Loki’s absence from his sight was connected to an Infinity Stone.

Ch. 46Justice League Founded

Heisenberg gathered his followers at his new theater headquarters to strengthen their unity and explain how they would rule New York’s underworld. He announced that he was forming the Justice League, naming its first members and assigning Bullseye and Crossbones leadership roles.

  • Odin and Frigga disagreed over whether Thor or Loki needed more attention, and Odin reflected on who might have inherited his position.
  • Heisenberg arrived at the renovated opera house, where his growing following and the public’s praise underscored his influence in New York.
  • Heisenberg addressed more than two thousand subordinates, urging them to treat one another as comrades and extend their organization beyond ruling New York’s night.
  • Heisenberg named Bullseye his successor in leading the Nuke Gang and told him to protect citizens in exchange for their support.
  • Heisenberg appointed Crossbones chief instructor and announced the Justice League, comprising himself, Crossbones, Bullseye, Jessica, Eliza, and Daredevil.

Ch. 47Lord Heisenberg

Heisenberg announced the Justice League and laid out his plan to impose his own laws, while preparing to use an alien threat to unite New York and weaken the United States. Later, Peter Parker watched the news report that Heisenberg had moved to Manhattan and eagerly looked forward to seeing him again.

  • Heisenberg declared that the Justice League would make justice its own, and the crowd named the groups and insults used against them.
  • Heisenberg ordered Night Devil to distribute laws and form an inspection team, assigned reports to Bullseye and Rumlow, and raised wages and benefits.
  • Heisenberg reasoned that gangsters and Hydra would accept his rule first, then planned to exploit the coming arrival of Loki and other aliens to manage public chaos.
  • Peter watched a report announcing Heisenberg's move to Columbus Circle Theater and lamented that visiting him would now cost more.
  • Peter told Uncle Ben he had kept the watch Heisenberg gave him, and Uncle Ben encouraged him to call Heisenberg Mister when they met again.

Ch. 48Fate

Heisenberg’s public image improved as New York’s media praised his crime-fighting, while Loki offered Thanos the Space Stone’s location in exchange for an army and the right to rule Midgard. Thanos gave Loki the Mind Stone and Chitauri warriors, sending him to reclaim what Thanos considered his.

  • J. Jonah Jameson praised Heisenberg on television and claimed New York’s crime rate had fallen by eighty percent since his arrival.
  • Heisenberg turned off the television, satisfied with the publicity and public opinion, and went to sleep.
  • Loki presented Thanos with footage showing the Space Stone at Project Pegasus and offered its location in exchange for an army and the right to rule Midgard.
  • Thanos agreed to give Loki an army and the Mind Stone, and recalled that Odin had once defeated him and later abandoned the Infinity Stones.
  • Loki accepted Ebony Maw’s Mind Stone scepter and learned that Thanos would send the Chitauri warriors intended for the attack on the Kree Nova to serve him.
  • Loki resolved to defeat Odin and prove his worth or die alone in the universe, believing he had no way back.

Ch. 49Are You Dissatisfied with Me?

Loki received the Mind Stone, command of the Chitauri, and a teleportation array from Thanos’s forces, then began learning to use the Space Stone to reach Earth. At Pegasus Base, Hill evacuated the staff while Banner and Selvig argued over whether to trigger the Cosmic Cube’s dangerous energy surge.

  • Loki thanked Thanos for the Mind Stone, and Thanos ordered Ebony Maw to take him to the Chitauri fleet.
  • Ebony Maw uploaded Loki’s genetic information to the Chitauri leader and showed him a teleportation array that could briefly influence the Space Stone.
  • Loki stepped onto the array, sensed the Space Stone’s energy, and briefly became enveloped in blue light before the effect vanished.
  • At Pegasus Base, Hill told Banner and Professor Selvig that she had evacuated the personnel and suspended Project Pegasus research.
  • Selvig proposed triggering a wormhole and collapsing it before it became a black hole, while Banner objected and asked whether Selvig was dissatisfied with him.

Ch. 50Tony's Invitation?!

Hill rejected Selvig’s proposal to deliberately trigger the Cosmic Cube, and Banner sealed it for study after its activity subsided. Heisenberg learned that Tony Stark had invited him to his wedding, leaving him stunned.

  • Banner argued that the Cosmic Cube should be sealed, while Selvig urged Hill to trigger its danger early; Hill chose Banner’s plan because S.H.I.E.L.D. could not risk another scandal.
  • Selvig’s hidden relief revealed that he had been influenced by Loki, who had planted him as a pawn in Project Pegasus.
  • Loki struggled aboard the Chitauri flagship to communicate with the Space Stone as its activity steadily weakened.
  • Banner removed the Cosmic Cube from the centrifuge and sealed it, estimating that it would take at least forty years to reach its critical point again.
  • Heisenberg told Billy to wait until his forces had crushed New York’s police system before taking over its funding and income.
  • Billy reported that Tony Stark had invited Heisenberg to his wedding the following week, and Heisenberg reacted with disbelief.
