In the central region of the Milky Way Galaxy, Abin exchanged information with his old friend Gambino.
In the sector managed by Green Lantern Gambino, a planet called Taskul had suffered an attack from Brainiac seven cosmic days ago.
Because Taskul was a purely semi-primitive planet, the life on it was still living in an age of eating raw meat and drinking blood.
So Gambino had not treated the matter as a priority.
Every sector contained a great many civilized planets. The Green Lantern Corps was an organization that safeguarded peace, not one that guided and protected undeveloped civilizations toward prosperity.
To Gambino, Taskul's disaster was merely another story of a civilization in its ignorant age suffering an irresistible attack.
So Gambino had merely discussed the matter with several old friends he knew well.
Clearly, Abin was one of them.
Bzzd and Abin quickly found Gambino. Just a few hours later, the team tracking Brainiac had become a group of three.
As the administrator of a sector in the central region of the Milky Way Galaxy, Gambino could practically be called Brainiac's neighbor.
The two had crossed paths too many times, but those encounters always consisted of Brainiac swaggering about while Gambino carefully passed by in hiding.
And so, after speaking with Bzzd and Abin and learning of the Sun God's dissatisfaction with Brainiac—
Gambino, who was currently traveling with Abin toward the end of Brainiac's usual route, aboard a spacecraft—
His eyes lit up!
Beside him, Bzzd observed the signals in the vicinity, then lightly tapped the panel.
"Quiet. I think we found the target!"
"Indeed. This planet appears to be Huihe Star, which was already destroyed."
Abin responded, then stopped the spacecraft. Green light immediately flared around the three of them as they shot toward the ruined planet
