Even after the little nurse pushed him out of the treatment room, The Deep still had not fully recovered from the shock.
It was not as though he had never been to Antarctica.
As a man who could swim through the ocean at dozens of times the speed of sound, he had naturally traveled everywhere his abilities allowed him to reach.
Long ago, he had gone to Antarctica to see the penguins.
Even after all this time, The Deep could not forget that frozen, snow-covered land. Even just looking at it made an invisible sense of desolation and loneliness rise within him.
And now...
The Deep let out a long sigh. From now on, he would probably have to live in Antarctica forever!
So, sigh...
The Deep gently shook his head.
"There's no need to go through all that trouble arranging some dinghy.
Just give me one last shot of Compound V. I'll take it and recover a little from my injuries.
Then give me an address, and I'll swim there myself. Why bother arranging a dinghy?"
As he spoke, The Deep raised his head and looked at the little nurse with eyes full of hope.
Although the little nurse was the sort of woman he did not particularly like, when he needed to ask someone for help, The Deep knew he had to bow his head.
Beside him, the little nurse watched the pleading The Deep and fell silent for a moment.
Then she nodded lightly.
"Queen Maeve instructed me that if your attitude was reasonably good, then... I should make things as convenient as possible for you.
So I agree!"
With that, the little nurse directly took a vial of Compound V from her pocket. Clearly, she had come prepared.
Seeing that, The Deep nodded gratefully and
