Disguised as Mu Xuanzhi, Hua Yunfei traveled alongside the Daughter of the Imperial Lord, Xia Qiuer, at her invitation. Together, they visited the secret realms and Wondrous Lands scattered across Rising Sun Star.
Xia Qiuer was beautiful, with a graceful figure—a perfect woman. Like a curious child, she loved going wherever there was excitement.
It seemed to have something to do with the Dao she cultivated.
The Mortal Dao was about understanding life, experiencing its myriad facets, and savoring all the splendor of the world.
With Hua Yunfei leading the way, the two left their footprints all across Rising Sun Star. They appeared in nearly every ancient city and every Wondrous Land.
At Xia Qiuer's request, they even visited a mortal kingdom, where they sampled mortal delicacies and fine wine, then spent the night in a tavern.
Remarkably, afterward, Xia Qiuer bought a manor in that mortal kingdom. She said the place was beautiful, its people were kind, and she liked it.
If she had the chance, she would come back to live there someday.
"Would you come too?"
Xia Qiuer looked at Hua Yunfei. Her tightly shut eyes fluttered beneath long lashes, and her voice was clear and melodious.
"I'm a peerless Heavenly Prodigy. I'm destined to become the strongest person in the history of the heavens. Why would I live in a mortal kingdom?" Hua Yunfei replied, turning her down.
"Why are you so indifferent? Don't you think the people here are lovely? Didn't they move you?" Xia Qiuer asked.
"I was moved, but there are plenty of good people and trustworthy people in the heavens, too," Hua Yunfei said.
With that, he walked out of the manor and looked up at the azure sky. His daoist robe fluttered, his black hair streamed behind him. "You seem to
