"You really are quite handsome when you're being serious."
Hua Yunfei nodded in agreement.
Wude was usually anything but serious, and when it came to tricking people, he didn't even spare his own side. But when he truly buckled down, he was also very dependable.
Back when they fought Teng Emperor, Di Tian, King Yu, and the others had lost faith. If Wude hadn't stepped forward and sacrificed himself to inspire them, the outcome might have gone the other way—the way none of them wanted to see.
"Good that you know it. After all, I'm the Great Handsome Commander, and you're just a Little Handsome Commander. When it comes to being handsome, you still have to take a step back." Wude lifted his chin proudly.
"By the way, what are you doing here so early in the morning? And why are you acting so shifty?" Hua Yunfei suddenly asked, watching Wude with an amused smile.
"Heh, what do you think?"
Wude slung an arm around Hua Yunfei's shoulders and waggled his eyebrows. "I came to celebrate you finally leaving the ranks of the fledglings, of course! You waited until Immortal Emperor Grade to break your vow. I bet you're the first in history to do that."
"You really do have too much time on your hands. I already gave you the Immortal Emperor Pill. Shouldn't you be cultivating in seclusion right now?" Hua Yunfei's face was full of exasperation.
There probably wasn't a second person in the world as bored as Wude.
"Besides, who told you I stayed here last night to do that sort of thing? How many chances have Yaoyao and I had to be alone together? Get your mind out of the gutter," Hua Yunfei continued.
"Come on, don't pretend. We're all brothers here. I get it."
