Yang Jian looked at the Third Hall Master.
"Your master tried to stop the Old Emperor from carrying out the rest of his plan, but it was the New Emperor who stopped your master." The Third Hall Master's lips curled upward. "Do you know why?"
"The New Emperor was the one who stopped my master?" Yang Jian was stunned.
"Why do you think Heaven's Will Palace suddenly attacked the Judgement Department?" the Third Hall Master said. "It was all on the Sacred Emperor's orders. The Old Emperor's actions were all permitted by the New Emperor. Heaven's Will Palace doesn't serve the Old Emperor, either. It's the New Emperor's true confidant!"
"Why? The Judgement Department has never crossed the line. We've always upheld the order of the Supreme Emperor's Palace and the world. Why would this happen?"
Yang Jian's convictions wavered.
