"No." Hua Yunfei shook his head and gave the yellowed Ancient Scroll in his hand a long look. "But if I keep reading, that might change..."
With that, he took a deep breath, concentrated his Indestructible Divine Soul, and unfurled the Ancient Scroll again.
Luo Wan wanted to stop him, but she was already too late.
This time, Hua Yunfei skipped straight past the passages he had already read.
Strangely, the later section of the Ancient Scroll was written in a different script. Hua Yunfei tried to peer directly into the mysteries within the characters, but he could discern nothing, as though they were merely ordinary writing.

"Do you recognize these characters?" Luo Wan asked in surprise when she saw Hua Yunfei's expression.

"I once picked up an ancient book containing similar writing, along with annotations, so I recognize some of it."
Hua Yunfei casually made up an excuse.
"I see. Then hurry and see what it says further on..." Luo Wan said curiously, not doubting his words.
"In antiquity, a heavenly realm arose, a land with a sovereign. It swept mountains and seas, opened past and present; none could stand beside it. Only when the Origin descended could it be subdued."
