In Tianxing City, after Hua Yunfei and the others had made it out of Jade Star Pavilion unscathed, they found an inn to stay at.

By dusk, Tianxing City was ablaze with lights. The three of them went out together, planning to look around.

Most of all, Hua Yunfei wanted to see whether Tianxing City had anything he was searching for.

Although his ancestor had told him he would sense anything transformed from a World Spirit, he had no way of knowing the range of that sense, so he couldn't test it.

All he could do was use the clumsy method of searching around and hoping for luck. Still, once he found the first fragment, he should be able to figure out how far his senses reached.

"My lord, why didn't you detonate the Treasure Vault's formation?" Crab General asked Hua Yunfei as they walked.

By rights, the best time to detonate the Treasure Vault's formation would have been while Jade Star Pavilion's experts were inside inspecting it. But Hua Yunfei hadn't done so.

"Blowing them up would be no fun."

A smile tugged at Hua Yunfei's lips. "After the Treasure Vault gets robbed again and again, everyone in Jade Star Pavilion will realize there's something unusual about us. In their desperation, they'll surely contact the power backing them."

"And when their backers arrive and try to track us down, they'll go to the Treasure Vault to divine the secrets of heaven we left behind. By then... you know what I mean!"

The more Crab General listened, the wider his mouth fell open. Hua Yunfei had planned this far ahead, already worked out what Jade Star Pavilion would do next.

Jade Star Pavilion had really drawn the short straw by provoking Hua Yunfei!
