Yet under the lights, the mercenaries all watched the two enormous statues beneath the stone steps with some tension.
On either side beneath the gate's steps stood two seven-headed Naga statues! They were roughly as tall as the resurrected three-headed Naga they had encountered in the courtyard upon entering this underground temple. The difference was that these two Nagas had seven heads!
There was another difference as well: these two seven-headed Nagas were also local tyrant gold. The three-headed Naga they had encountered in the temple courtyard had been made of sandstone, displaying the natural color of sandstone.
These two seven-headed Nagas, however, gleamed with golden light from head to toe and drew everyone's gaze.
But even though these two seven-headed Nagas were in everyone's favorite local tyrant gold, the memory of the three-headed Naga's might in the courtyard still filled everyone with worry.
