The door to the third cave stood directly along the central axis. It was still a stone door, and there was still a stone barrier behind it, just like the one in the Soldier Hiding Cave. They were stone bars beneath the door, like a seesaw. Once the door was shut, they would lift up, making it impossible to open the door again.
They used the same method as before to open the Soldier Hiding Cave's entrance. Several Ability Users stepped forward and worked together to slowly push open the stone door.
At once, a gust of air rushed out. Fortunately, it was not as foul as they had imagined. It merely carried the stale, musty smell of air that had been sealed away for too long.
Moreover, the Ability Users could hold their breath with their abilities, while the mercenaries had gas masks. Thus, no one was affected by the airflow. After waiting for around ten minutes, Tra signaled that it was about time and took the lead inside.
Having already gone through two caves, everyone had gained some experience. They made arrangements for vigilance, defense, and everything else before slowly entering.
The third cave was still a vast, empty cavern, with corridors and several statues. It was roughly the same size and height as the Spider Cave, differing only in layout and minor details.
But after Tra fired two Illumination Flares, a blaze of golden light nearly blinded everyone.
What left everyone dumbfounded was that aside from a straight bluestone path leading to another stone door, every other part of the plaza was piled high with all kinds of Gold Artifacts.
Each gold pile stood more than two meters high and covered around ten square meters. There were Buddha statues, utensils, animals, flowers and plants, even various nagas
