The monster did not bend to the will of the group. Just as several Ability Users joined forces to destroy one spiked monster and send it falling into the mercury below the bridge, two more spiked monsters rushed onto the platform.
With two tap, tap sounds, the two spiked Monsters leaped up, one before and one after the other. Their long, spiked tails whipped wildly in every direction. Under the light of the fireballs, the spikes on their tails seemed to glint with a cold radiance.
Fortunately, the remaining Ability Users coordinated fairly well at that moment and launched several ability attacks at the two Monsters. If it had been the mercenaries facing them now, however many there were would have been served that many boxed meals.
The two spiked Monsters were destroyed once more under the group's successive ability attacks.
"The door is open!" Yam hurriedly informed everyone through the communicator.
"Yam, take a few people and scout ahead! Move quickly. Don't let too much of the White Mist drift over. Report back to me as soon as you're done scouting," Tina said.
Since the platform was rather small, although there were few Ability Users, they could still handle the spiked Monsters. What they needed to do now was hurry and evacuate this cave.
Moreover, Tina heard movement from the mercury below the bridge again. She could only focus on directing the battle against the Monsters here and could no longer spare attention for Yam's side.
Yam threw a wind blade into the pitch-black doorway. The mercenaries could not possibly take out any lighting equipment now, nor did they have anything else to illuminate the way. Even night-vision goggles were useless at the moment.
Thus, they could not see very far into the pitch-black doorway. The lights on their
