Grey Skin approached, his face covered in blood. He howled at Mahali, then fixed his blood red eyes on him without blinking.
The middle-aged man clutched by the neck in his hand showed no signs of movement. His entire body had been frozen into a rigid, solid object. The ghost fused with him was also struggling faintly, trying to break free but unable to escape the middle-aged man's body, leaving flickering afterimages across his form.
The fused ghost's figure was somewhat illusory, its expression twisted in pain as though it were screaming, yet no sound came out. Seen through the black mist, it looked even more miserable and terrifying.
Normally, a Sorcerer controlled a fused ghost himself. If the Sorcerer lost consciousness, the fused ghost might be able to break away on its own. But whether because of the Mother and Child Ghost's black mist or the freezing, the fused ghost could not separate from the middle-aged man's body.
Moreover, this Mother and Child Ghost was truly formidable. The middle-aged man had been captured in just a few seconds. It was easy to imagine just how powerful the Mother and Child Ghost was.
"Possession?" Seeing Grey Skin staring at him with blood red eyes, Mahali sighed inwardly. I hope it's the child possessing him, not the mother. The Child Ghost was small and generally loved to play, but its combat ability was relatively weaker than the Mother Ghost's.
