There were simply too many mosquitoes, and the buzzing they produced annoyed everyone. It was unbearably loud; aside from that droning buzz, their ears could hear nothing else. Even if they wanted to speak to someone, they had to shout, and even then they might not be heard clearly.
So although mosquitoes were easy to kill, their sheer numbers and deafening noise made everyone increasingly restless, unable to calm down. It was like trying to enjoy a lazy Sunday morning sleep, only for the neighbors next door to start renovating, with an impact drill hammering against aluminum alloy metal. It was utterly agonizing.
"Ah! Damn it!" Suddenly, someone in the Han Family group at the center of the formation was stabbed by a mosquito and jumped up in pain.
The long proboscis, like a syringe, pierced directly into his leg. In less than a second, his blood was sucked through it into the mosquito's abdomen.

Even after killing the mosquito, his leg continued to bleed. The mosquito's proboscis was as thick as a finger, and when he pulled it out, it tore away one or two ounces of flesh!
There was no helping it. This mosquito's proboscis actually had barbs, and the Martial Artist had no experience with it. After slapping the mosquito to death, he saw that its head was still embedded in his leg and simply grabbed it and pulled. That pull was excruciating, ripping away one or two ounces of bloody flesh.
