Chen Mo first activated his True Essence, striking Zhou Zixing's acupoints and immobilizing him. He also used an Isolation Talisman to cut him off. Zhou Zixing could only stand there, unable to hear, see, or even feel much of anything, save for the bone-chilling cold seeping into his body.
Under such conditions, no one could likely endure for long. It was like being locked in a little black room, only worse. A little black room merely deprived one of sight and sound, leaving one in darkness. Zhou Zixing also had to endure the cold, and that was becoming unbearable.
Chen Mo had done this because he needed to take out the Soul Crystal and discuss something with Lan Caijie. Though Lan Caijie was already a soul body and had acknowledged him as her master, her life had been rather tragic. He did not want to force her into anything. At the very least, he wanted to discuss it with her properly beforehand.
If she agreed, then everyone would be happy. If she did not want to, or hesitated, Chen Mo would not force her. He could only think of another way to control Zhou Zixing.
If there was no way to control him, then he would use the final method and send Zhou Zixing off to his death.
The second reason was to let Zhou Zixing experience this sort of confinement and understand Chen Mo's methods. At the very least, when doing things later, Zhou Zixing would remember today's experience and avoid impulsively rebelling against him.
Although Chen Mo could deal with this old man at any time, there might be a delay in acting, and some of his secrets could be exposed. It was better to first let Zhou Zixing experience this terrifying atmosphere and carefully consider whether he
