Boom!
With an explosive sound, flames burned fiercely across Black Shadow's head. There seemed to be some highly flammable substance inside Black Shadow's mouth; it ignited at the slightest spark, and the flames instantly spread from its mouth to its entire head, turning it into a burning fireball.
Black Shadow's body seemed extremely flammable. If it had not already fused and undergone some sort of qualitative change in its physical structure, that one blow might have been enough to burn this Black Shadow straight into a torch and reduce it to ash. But after fusing, Black Shadow had become tougher, and its vitality even more tenacious.
Even with its head burning, it could still remain conscious. It reached out and forcibly yanked the torch from its own mouth, howling in agony as it beat at the fire to extinguish it. That sound was shrill and piercing, like ten thousand ghosts wailing, enough to make one's hair stand on end.
The other Black Shadows, however, were not frightened off by their companion's miserable state. Instead, they charged at Chen Mo with even greater madness. They seemed to know no fear, no pain—only the purest killing instinct.
Chen Mo let out a cold snort. His right hand drew the long saber from his back, and the blade gleamed with a chilling cold glint under the firelight. In an instant, he flashed forward and attacked the Black Shadows rushing at him, his saber light like a rainbow, weaving a dense net of blades through the darkness.
Hiss! Hiss! Hiss!
The sound of blades cutting into flesh rang out one after another. Black Shadow's pitch-black blood splattered out, landing on the ground with a sizzling corrosive sound. But Chen Mo's attacks always held something back. His saber momentum looked fierce, but in truth, he
