In the large conference room beside the academic affairs office at No. 73 Middle School, all the homeroom teachers who didn't have classes sat gathered together. Vice Principal Zhu Kangsheng sat at the front, his face dark.
Vice Principal Zhu Kangsheng raised his voice. "We have to investigate this matter to the end. I'm sure all of you have seen that post. It may have made one of our students famous, but it has also put our school in the eye of the storm."
"Yesterday morning, the principal of No. 80 Middle School actually made veiled jibes during the flag-raising ceremony, mocking our teachers' poor standards and claiming our students lacked even the most basic judgment—that they would actually believe in some so-called fortune telling Master. They even said we'd posted an article like this to encourage other students to take part in feudal superstition."
No one dared speak. They all listened to Zhu Kangsheng's lecture.
"Let's set aside Fang Yongkang for now, but we must get to the bottom of who wrote and posted that article." Zhu Kangsheng glanced at the teacher with his head lowered. It was Fang Yongkang's homeroom teacher, Jiang Pengtao.
Jiang Pengtao explained helplessly, "I've read the post. The writer says they're an arts student, which means they're not in my class!"
"Even if they're not in your class, we still have to investigate. Take this seriously, all of you. Focus on Fang Yongkang's classmates from their first year of high school. Find out which of them became arts students in their second year."
One of the teachers spoke up. "I don't think it was necessarily a student. It could well have been Master Shen himself, posting it on Deshun City's campus forum."
"That's right. Students have no reason to write an article like that.
