"Rin!!"
Uchiha Obito was frantic with worry.
He stood on the treetop,
and by the moonlight, he saw a series of enormous objects rising like spires behind the low hills. They were definitely not something that occurred naturally.
"Over there?"
Uchiha Obito's gaze sharpened. He had barely managed to catch his breath when he forced himself to ignore his discomfort and continued controlling White Zetsu's body as it raced forward.

"Tobi, what are you doing? Why did you stop? Hurry up! Rin and Kakashi are still waiting for me to save them!" Uchiha Obito urged him repeatedly.
"Obito, Nohara Rin and Hatake Kakashi have both been rescued."
The White Zetsu covering Uchiha Obito peeled away like a blooming chrysanthemum, forming a face and telling him the good news.
"What? Really?"
"Really."
"Rin's okay! That's wonderful!"
Uchiha Obito believed him just like that. He let out a long breath, the anxiety and unease vanishing from his face. "Then where are Rin and Kakashi now? I'll go find them."
"Obito, you can't go looking for them."
"Why?"

A bloodstained wooden spike emerged from his chest, taking his life with ease. The light vanished from his single red Two-Tomoe Sharingan.
White Zetsu Fly slowly pulled the spike from Uchiha Obito's chest, then carried his corpse back the way they had come.
