One week after the assassination attempt.
Sen readily accepted the two million in family dividends Danzo had compensated him with. He was currently on the training grounds, engaging in a friendly spar with Minato.
He wanted to test his "bugging the system" plan.
"Minato, you learned this Shadow Clone Jutsu in just a few days?"
Sen still found it a bit unbelievable. Logically, it should have taken him about two weeks to learn, but Minato had managed it in just one week.
He's twice as fast as me. Could it be that even geniuses have differences in talent?
Minato scratched his head sheepishly. Recalling the learning process, he said, "It wasn't that difficult. It's mainly because you slept too much in class, so you didn't keep up with the theory lessons..."
"Stop, stop, stop, don't say another word," Sen waved his hands repeatedly, quickly cutting Minato off. "When we start fighting later, I have two requests. First, you must use Shadow Clones. Second, you must deliberately concede defeat at the end!"
When Minato heard this, his little face immediately fell. "Huh? I trained day and night for a week just to defeat you! Now that I've learned it, I have to concede? Didn't I train for nothing?"
Sen wore a kind smile and patiently persuaded, "Minato, how can you be so calculative? Think about it, who gave you the scroll? Besides, my Uchiha clan is a large and prosperous one; we have plenty of ninjutsu scrolls.
Don't you have Fire, Wind, and Lightning affinities? From now on, I'll cover the scrolls for conceding defeat! Don't fuss over such a small matter."
Minato pondered for a moment and finally nodded in agreement.
"Shadow Clone Jutsu!"
Minato formed a cross-hand seal and, after holding his breath for a long time, a puff of white smoke appeared, revealing... one shadow clone.
He sheepishly scratched his head. "I just learned it. My Chakra control isn't quite there yet, so I can only make one."
"Hey, blondey, stop showing off! Go, Sen!" Kushina, watching from the sidelines, cheered loudly. "Finish it quickly! We still have nap time later!"
The battle began.
Sen quickly felt the pressure.
Originally, his taijutsu was on par with Minato's. Now, with an extra helper, he had to face an attack from four hands simultaneously.
If not for his Uzumaki Physique allowing him to take hits, he would have lost long ago.
Minato's combat intelligence was extremely high. The main body was responsible for frontal assaults, while the shadow clone constantly looked for opportunities to flank and sneak attack.
Minato seized an opening. His main body delivered an upward kick aimed directly at Sen's abdomen.
Sen looked at the incredibly fast attack and could only reflexively cover his abdomen with both hands. Just as the attack was about to land, he suddenly felt his body tighten.
He looked back and saw that the shadow clone had already snuck behind him and was holding him tightly.
Minato's combat awareness is ridiculously high. He just learned Shadow Clones, but he's already figured out how to fight with them.
Unable to move, Sen could only watch as Minato's main body's fist grew larger and larger in front of his eyes.
"Stop!" Sen quickly shouted. "Quick, concede!"
Minato retracted his fist, dispelled the shadow clone, and said with a pout while scratching his head, "Alright, I promised you, I concede."
[Namikaze Minato voluntarily conceded. Please choose a term to absorb: Shadow Clone Jutsu, Physique +1, Physique +1]
Sen's heart was overjoyed! The plan worked! It seemed his tests of the system were fine!
As long as he made the opponent use a certain jutsu in battle and then deliberately concede, the system would judge it as his victory and most likely grant him that jutsu as a reward!
Furthermore, the system would optimize the jutsu before giving it to him, which was countless times faster than him optimizing it slowly!
This bug was tailor-made for Minato!
If only everyone stronger than me would deliberately concede after fighting me, like Uchiha Madara, Senju Tobirama, and the like...
But, besides Minato, there probably isn't anyone else this easy to talk to...
Sen looked at Minato with a smile. He had to make the most of this big fat sheep!
He smiled as he chose the Shadow Clone Jutsu as his reward.
Instantly, a massive amount of experience and memories flooded his mind, as if he had practiced the jutsu thousands upon thousands of times.
Sen formed hand seals, and with two pops, two shadow clones identical to him appeared behind him.
"Wow! Sen, you're amazing!" Kushina exclaimed, jumping up. "You can make two at once! I told you you're better than the blonde!"
Minato looked at Sen's two solidified shadow clones and was genuinely impressed:
"It seems you are still superior. Your shadow clones, both in number and proficiency, are above mine. You truly are my lifelong rival!"
Sen looked at the shadow clones behind him, unconsciously rubbed his nose with his index finger, feeling as if his nose had grown longer, and said with a profound air:
"Naturally. You must understand, there is a gap between geniuses!"
He was even more certain in his heart:
After all, you geniuses all improve through training; it's superficial. But I, I learn through the system, step by step, by copying! The difference is clear!
He even thought: It seems I need to work even harder in the future. As for how to work hard, it's naturally by having Minato learn more ninjutsu and fight me, so I can steadily improve step by step!
After figuring it out, he said to Minato with deep feeling:
"Minato, I remember you have Lightning Release Chakra, right? How about you train Lightning Release recently?"
Minato hesitated slightly, "Training Lightning Release is much more complicated than Shadow Clone, isn't it?"
"What are you afraid of!" Sen slung an arm around his shoulder and continued to persuade him, "You just learned Shadow Clone, didn't you? You can use it to practice Lightning Release: Shadow Clone!
The principle is similar, and for a genius like you, it should be a piece of cake, right?"
Just kidding, you're the future Yellow Flash, how can you not know Lightning Release?
If you don't learn Lightning Release, where will I copy Lightning Release Chakra from? I can't possibly rely on just Fire Release to conquer the world, can I?
Minato was still a bit worried, "But, Lightning Release scrolls should be very expensive..."
"Eh!" Sen waved his hand generously, "With our relationship, talking about money will only hurt our feelings! Leave the scrolls to me! It's all for your future, brother!"
"Sen..." Minato was so moved he teared up, "I'm so glad I met you. Otherwise, I'd never have a chance to learn these ninjutsu in my lifetime."
Sen held back a laugh, stole a glance at Kushina, and sighed inwardly:
Minato, my brother, you've suffered a lot in this life.
Kushina is mine now, and you'll still be my exclusive EXP bag.
"I'm in a good mood today!" Sen declared grandly to Kushina and Minato, "I'm treating after school, order whatever you want!"
Kushina, however, pouted and said, "Not today."
Sen thought she didn't want to bring Minato, the third wheel: "Oh, it's more lively with an extra person."
"No, it's not that!" Kushina explained, "Sister Tsunade is back from her mission today and is coming to pick me up."
She bit her lip and looked at Sen a little shyly, whispering:
"She knows about us... She said she wants to come... and see you."
