"Come on, I've been waiting for you forever. I'm starving!"
As she spoke, she naturally and deftly took Luo Ze's hand, pulling him forward.
That practiced gesture left Luo Ze stunned for a moment, but the familiar aura made him instinctively unwilling to refuse. He simply let Gu Yue lead him along.
"Why are you blushing?"
Gu Yue naturally noticed the shift in Luo Ze's mood. She tilted her head and looked at him with a mischievous smile.
"N-Nothing! Hurry up, let's go. I'm blushing because I'm hungry!" Luo Ze said stubbornly.
He would never admit that he had blushed because a girl was holding his hand! Absolutely not!
"Oh~ Hungry, huh? Looks like you really are starving. Then let's hurry!"
Gu Yue giggled and looked at Luo Ze as though she understood everything, unconsciously quickening her pace.
Soon, the two arrived at the Big Meat Noodles shop Tang Wulin had mentioned.
Although it was located in a bustling, prosperous plaza, the noodle shop had been placed in the most secluded corner. Luo Ze had no idea whether the owner truly could not afford a better location or had deliberately chosen this one.
As they entered the noodle shop, the only sound was the "ding-dong" of the doorbell. The place was so quiet it felt strange, standing in complete contrast to the lively scene outside.
Hearing the bell, a sturdy, fierce-looking middle-aged man with a scar on his face slowly lifted the curtain. His cold gaze swept over the two of them.
"How many?"
His voice was decisive and without the slightest hesitation. If the words "noodle shop" had not been written outside, Luo Ze might have thought he had been arrested.
"Just the two of us!" Luo Ze immediately answered.
The owner nodded, turned, and went into the kitchen.
