Background / History

Voldemort's history traces back to his student days under the name Tom Riddle, during which he murdered Myrtle with a Basilisk to verify information about creating Horcruxes from Horace Slughorn, turning his diary into his first Horcrux 115. He later pursued power and immortality through dark magic, splitting his soul into multiple Horcruxes including a diary, a ring, a locket, a golden cup, a diadem, and Nagini the snake 115 207.

Fifteen years prior to the main events, after a prophecy led him to target the Potters, he was defeated by baby Harry Potter due to a Blood Protection Charm cast by Lily Potter, leaving him disembodied and forming a permanent soul-connection with Harry 107 115. He attempts a slow return in Harry's first year by latching onto Professor Quirrell's head to steal the Philosopher's Stone, but is driven back by Harry, Dumbledore, and newcomer Bing Huan 18 21 22. After absorbing his emotionaless White clone, he begins breaking his own ironclad rules by consuming human food and falling victim to various curses, addiction drugs, and intensive monitoring by Bing Huan's surveillance network 218 229. Ultimately, after his Death Eater forces are decimated and his final clone is left for Harry, Snape, and Sirius, Voldemort is sliced in half by Bing Huan and permanently eliminated by the combined magical and physical bombardments of the elder leaders 303.
