"The Fourth Hokage was known as the Golden Flash. 'Flash' referred to his incredible speed, while 'golden' described his brilliant blond hair."

"And the Fourth Hokage's wife—your mother—was known in the village as the Red Hot-Blooded Habanero. She came from the Uzumaki Clan and had its most distinctive trait."

"It's remarkable, really. Your father didn't come from some great clan, yet his blond hair completely overpowered the Uzumaki Clan's red hair and was passed down to you."

Yuuhi Kurenai giggled as Naruto Uzumaki yanked a hair from his head and stared blankly at the golden strand.

After a moment, Naruto looked up and muttered, "Are you lying to me?"

When people heard something too hard to believe, doubt came naturally. It was an instinct.

The more astonishing the news—and the more it made someone want to leap for joy, straight into the sky—the less real it felt.

"The reason this feels unreal isn't that the truth is too incredible. It's that the truth is so different from the life you've lived."

"If you'd grown up surrounded by attention like Hyuga Hanabi or Sasuke Uchiha, you'd probably think being the Fourth Hokage's son was perfectly ordinary."
