Might Guy was also stopped at the entrance to Hyuga Hiashi's home. He had actually heard the Hyuga Clan Elder's shout. Whether it was Kirigakure or rogue ninja, he had heard it all clearly.

Hyuga Yue did not stop him. She merely sat kneeling as she played with Hyuga Hanabi, but before he could push open the door, someone opened it from outside.

The timid girl's voice immediately snapped Hyuga Hiashi out of his deep frown. He abruptly raised his head and looked past Hyuga Yue's ear toward the doorway, but all he saw was Guy's back.

Unable to hold himself back, he rose to his feet and finally saw his eldest daughter.

Hinata had changed enormously since leaving the Hyuga Clan. If not for that voice, that face, and those unmistakable Byakugan—white enough to carry a faint bluish tint—Hyuga Hiashi would have almost failed to recognize his own eldest daughter.

At some point, she had already taken off her thick coat and trousers. Her white skirt fluttered softly, and she wore a pure white shawl. Even on her feet were not the ninja boots commonly worn by ninjas, but pure white strappy sandals.

Around her neck hung a necklace no ninja should ever wear. Its color was no longer pure white, yet it was even more dazzling than white. Pale gold framed glittering gemstones, and Hyuga Hiashi would have bet that even a Daimyo rarely possessed such precious gems.

Two earrings also hung from Hinata's ears. They too were set with gemstones, though they were no longer outrageously expensive multicolored gems, but crystals gleaming with brilliant light.

Hinata, who had never worn makeup, also bore rare traces of cosmetics on her face. She certainly had not applied them herself, but they looked quite beautiful on her.

Hinata's hair
