Background

Ame was once among children abducted and abused by human traffickers. Sora Uchiha saved her during the incident, but he later forgot her until she took a near-fatal blow for him during their battle with Hanzo. Ame remembered the rescue and considered it the reason she owed Sora her life 111 125.

A branch-family member marked with the Caged Bird cursed seal, Ame grew up under the Hyuga Clan's rigid hierarchy. She was subjected to frequent hostility from main-family disciples, who resented a branch-family shinobi whose talent exceeded their own 101. She later described herself as having no family when preparing for the Amegakure mission 116.

Hyuga Hiashi personally cultivated Ame after discovering her exceptional potential. After the battle, she meets Sora again beside Hiashi and confidently states that she could defeat him if he possessed only a One Tomoe Sharingan 99.

Fixed Anbu Partnership

After passing the solo Chunin examination, Ame joins the Anbu as White Fox and is assigned as Sora's permanent partner by Shinnosuke Sarutobi 104 105. Their early partnership is tense because Sora distrusts the arrangement, while Ame is visibly offended that he does not remember their earlier meeting 104.

Their spar reveals Ame's ability to challenge Sora directly. She uses Vacuum Palm, Revolving Heaven, and delayed acupoint strikes to disrupt his chakra, leading Sora to conclude that he could not defeat her without using Mangekyō Sharingan techniques 105.

Amegakure Mission

Ame accompanies Sora to investigate the unknown force opposing Hanzo in Amegakure. She follows his operational lead, protects their cover, and helps investigate the destruction around Kitsuchi Slope 116 118.
