The Sky-High Auction
The auction officially began. Even the person presiding over it was a powerful Primordial Saint Venerable.
At first, most of the treasures up for auction were Low-grade Divine Artifacts. Occasionally, a Top-grade Divine Artifact or a particularly powerful Mid-grade Divine Artifact went under the hammer, making the atmosphere even more lively.
By comparison, the bidding for Low-grade Divine Artifacts wasn't quite so fierce. Most of those buying them were powerful Rogue Cultivators, along with experts from some small and medium-sized sects.
These experts had limited resources and couldn't afford to push the prices too high.
At the beginning, Bi Fan and the others occasionally placed bids, picking up a few distinctive Low-grade Divine Artifacts.
As far as Bi Fan and the others were concerned, bidding on Low-grade Divine Artifacts was just for fun. They weren't taking it too seriously.
Bi Fan had hoped to win a few Top-grade Divine Artifacts, but the prices were too high for him to bear. He had to save his Nine Star Soul Jade for the final Top-grade Divine Artifacts.
An offensive Top-grade Divine Artifact was worth somewhere between one billion and ten billion Nine Star Soul Jade, but at this auction, the prices were already in the trillions—more than ten times their actual value.
Although the Six Absolutes Divine Sect had plenty of Nine Star Soul Jade, Bi Fan was still reluctant to spend so much on a single Top-grade Divine Artifact.
There was another reason, too: the Six Absolutes Divine Sect had inherited the legacy of the Sky-Reaching Sect and possessed a great many Top-grade Divine Artifacts. Later, Bi Fan had also obtained part of the Hundred Battles Saint Palace's legacy, which included some Top-grade Divine Artifacts.
The Six Absolutes Divine Sect might even own more Top-grade Divine Artifacts
