Chapter 63: Lie Yang Mountain
Zheng Shi'an looked up and sighed. "Big brother, how long are we going to have to keep walking?"
Bi Fan wiped away his sweat and smiled wryly. "Let's take it one step at a time. The mountain looks close, but it'll wear out a horse to reach it. We've only got two legs, so we can't walk any faster than a horse."
The two of them sighed inwardly and continued trudging along. Their speed was greatly affected in this space.
Another stick of incense passed. Bi Fan looked up at the sun and felt, for some inexplicable reason, that something was off.
Zheng Shi'an stopped. Seeing him staring blankly up at the sky, he asked, "Big brother, what's wrong?"
"Don't you think time is passing a little more slowly in this space than we expected?"
"We've been here for more than an hour, but the sun is still overhead. And our shadows are the same length as when we came in. They've only shifted a little since then."
Zheng Shi'an looked down at his feet. His shadow indeed hadn't changed much.
But how could the sun not have moved at all after more than an hour? Unless time passed very slowly here.
"I remember now! I once read in an ancient text that overlapping, compressed spaces can cause time to pass much more slowly within their boundaries than elsewhere. It looks like that's what's happening here!"
Bi Fan nodded and smiled. "Perhaps this is actually a pretty good place to cultivate."
Just then, Dragon Sable's voice rang out. "Master."
"Hmm?"
