A hero saving a beauty
The lake was far deeper than Bi Fan had imagined. Fortunately, the water was clear, so he could see everything inside it.
At the bottom of the lake, a spot glowed red. Bi Fan swam toward it without thinking.
The glowing spot was actually a gap, and the place where the underground river flowed in.
Bi Fan climbed through the gap onto a rock. The moment his feet touched it, he felt a slight warmth coming from the stone.
He couldn't help but pause. There was something strange about this place.
He examined it carefully but found nothing unusual. He guessed that the rocks were warm because of Lie Yang Mountain, and that it was normal for them to be warmer than the cold lake water.
He circled the lake, but found no other suspicious spots.
Bi Fan was puzzled. Could Li Chaoge and the others not be here? But according to what Little Bee had heard earlier, they were indeed beneath the lake!
"Master," Dragon Sable called to him telepathically.
"Hmm?"
"This place seems to have the aura of a barrier!"
"A barrier?!" Bi Fan was taken aback.
"Yes!" Dragon Sable thought for a moment, then said, "And I feel like this lake itself is a barrier!"
Bi Fan's thoughts stirred. "Then how do we break it?"
"I actually know how to do that!"
Dragon Sable sounded excited as he drifted out and landed on Bi Fan's shoulder. Its claws formed a series of complicated hand seals in front of its chest, then one claw pointed forward. "Break!"
Bi Fan plunged straight down through the lake, passing through the barrier and entering the space within!
