A sense of foreboding welled up in Bi Fan's heart. He furrowed his brows, his expression grave. "Xiao Xue, do you feel unwell at all?"
Yun Piaoxue shook her head. "Aside from a little stinging when it first went in, I don't think I feel anything else."
Bi Fan held her hand and examined it carefully for a while. There was indeed no change.
He sighed softly. "The origins of these Gu worms must be extraordinary. Who knows how many years these corpses have been here, yet the worms are still so active. It's truly unsettling..."
Yun Piaoxue lowered her head, her expression complicated. "Brother Bi Fan, I might... be about to die, right?"
"Don't be ridiculous." Bi Fan gently cut her off. "A lot of Gu worms aren't fatal. They just have special effects."
"Let's tell Brother Li and leave this place for now. We'll go up and ask Shi'an if he knows what these Gu worms are."

After seeing Qing Luan, Li Siter and Yun Bing immediately came back to them. If someone released their spirit beast, something important must have happened.
"What's wrong?" Yun Bing saw how pale Yun Piaoxue looked and asked anxiously.
If she hadn't trusted Bi Fan's character, she might have misunderstood and thought he had taken liberties with her.
