Beneath the Sea of Fire
The fire serpent still said nothing, but its gaze grew more solemn as it looked at Xiao Lian. The familiar yet powerful aura surrounding him, along with the pressure emanating from his soul, made it afraid to act rashly.
Bi Fan cowered weakly to one side, watching with trepidation. He had no idea how likely Xiao Lian was to win if he really fought the fire serpent.
The only thing he knew was that if anything happened to Xiao Lian, he would surely perish here too.

The fire serpent remained completely still, only half-believing what Xiao Lian had said. The latter, meanwhile, was clearly growing impatient.
"Looks like you still don't believe me." Xiao Lian said coolly, "In that case, let's fight. If you can hurt me, I won't enter this place today."
The fire serpent narrowed its eyes slightly. After hesitating for a moment, it cautiously spat a clump of orange-red flame from within itself. It was a tiny flower, shaped like a lotus, yet it contained an incomparably dangerous aura.
Watching its movements, Xiao Lian smiled indifferently, his whiskers lifting slightly.
As he watched the fire lotus slowly approach, there wasn't the slightest trace of fear in his eyes. He reached out with a dragon claw, drawing the lotus closer, then swallowed it in one gulp!
