The Ferocious Beast Territory
He narrowed his eyes and watched Bi Fan charge farther into the territory, making no move to pursue him.
He could wait until he had recovered before leading his people inside to search for Bi Fan. There was no need to rush.
Just then, the young man returned with the Purple Sha Demonic Sect members. He looked somewhat apologetic. "Third Elder, we don't know where Bi Fan's companion went. We couldn't catch up..."
"Don't know where he went? What do you mean?"
"That person's aura was strange. We chased him for a while before realizing we were following a flock of butterflies, not a person..."
The middle-aged man furrowed his brow. "Forget it. That person doesn't matter. What matters now is Bi Fan."
The young man relaxed. "By the way, Third Elder, where's Bi Fan?"
"I drove him into the Ferocious Beast Territory," he replied coolly.
"Ah? He's got some nerve!" The young man froze, then asked hesitantly, "And the Black Mo Tiger..."
"He took it with him, too."
The middle-aged man snorted. "Once I've recovered, I'll go into the Ferocious Beast Territory and collect his corpse!"
"Yes!" the others replied at once.
Inside the Ferocious Beast Territory.
Bi Fan stood at the edge and looked back. Only after confirming the Third Elder hadn't followed him did he breathe a sigh of relief. Clutching his aching chest, he spat out another mouthful of blood.
"Master, are you all right?" Dragon Sable floated out and hovered by his shoulder, asking anxiously.
"I'm fine." Bi Fan shook his head. "I'd just been holding in a mouthful of blood."
The dragon scales on his chest were still warm, but their golden light had dimmed considerably. It seemed that the earlier attack had damaged them, too.
He checked his condition.
