The Dragon Sable's Background

While Bi Fan and the others were searching for treasures in the Sea Dragon Palace, a struggle was unfolding in the Hundred Saints Palace. Dugu Qian had given Bi Fan a Poison Sac, which Bi Fan had then given to the Serpent Tail Evil Fire Snake Lion to refine. Coincidentally, the Dragon Sable, which loved to eat poisonous things the most, discovered it.

The Dragon Sable knew how precious the Poison Sac was, so without a word, it went to snatch it.

Because the scorpion was enormous, its Poison Sac was also very large. A portion of it was still sticking out of the Evil Fire Snake Lion's mouth. The Dragon Sable's eyes turned red upon seeing the Poison Sac, and it moved faster than usual. It immediately bit onto the exposed Poison Sac and refused to let go, looking like an ant biting onto a large date, with its four small paws clinging to the Poison Sac and its mouth tearing at it. The Poison Sac was much larger than the Dragon Sable.

The Evil Fire Snake Lion knew that the Dragon Sable had the same relationship with Bi Fan as it did – both were Bi Fan's Spirit Beasts. Moreover, this guy was very greedy. It didn't dare to attack the Dragon Sable, fearing Bi Fan's punishment for harming it. However, it also didn't want to share. Thus, the Evil Fire Snake Lion desperately shook its head, trying to throw off the Dragon Sable.

Of course, the Dragon Sable wouldn't let it succeed and held onto the Poison Sac tightly. In the end, the Evil Fire Snake Lion compromised and placed the Poison Sac on the ground for the Dragon Sable to eat first. After all, the Poison Sac was so large that even eight Dragon Sables would have to stuff themselves to eat it all.

But who would have thought that after the Evil Fire Snake Lion placed the Poison Sac on the ground, it discovered the Dragon Sable had disappeared? It looked left and right but found no trace. Could the Dragon Sable have had a change of heart?

The Evil Fire Snake Lion then picked up the Poison Sac to continue refining it, only to find the Dragon Sable lying on its back on the ground. It seemed that the Dragon Sable had been under the Poison Sac, biting it without any defense. The Evil Fire Snake Lion suddenly let go, pinning the Dragon Sable on its back.

The Evil Fire Snake Lion placed the Poison Sac on the ground again. As soon as it landed, the Dragon Sable, which had been motionless, suddenly pounced onto the Poison Sac, biting it and retreating, trying to drag it away to eat alone. Unfortunately, the Poison Sac was too large, and the Dragon Sable was too weak; the Poison Sac remained as steady as a mountain, not moving at all. Seeing this, the Evil Fire Snake Lion pressed down on the Poison Sac with a paw. It didn't care if the Dragon Sable could drag it away; what if it ran off with it?

The Dragon Sable then began to eat, using its body to push against the Evil Fire Snake Lion's paw as it ate, preventing it from snatching any.

The Dragon Sable ate a little and then stopped, lying on the ground as if it were about to advance. The Evil Fire Snake Lion guarded the Dragon Sable and began to refine the Poison Sac. This Poison Sac was the essence of the Fossil Scorpion King's life. Its poison could cause all the nerves of anyone poisoned with a lower cultivation than itself to die, effectively turning them into living dead. Only breathing would indicate they were still alive, with no consciousness whatsoever. A brand-new vegetative state was thus born.

Stronger cultivators, with a higher cultivation than itself, could immediately sense the terrifying poison and would first seal the poisoned area. However, the poisoned area would become numb, seemingly redundant, and they could only slowly detoxify.

In this world of the jungle, even a brief period of physical incoordination could lead to one's death. This was the Fossil Scorpion King's most formidable survival ability.

The Dragon Sable belonged to the Ancient Spirit Beast lineage. Its ancestors were the Flower Fox Sable and the Dragon. The Flower Fox Sable was the Divine Beast of Vast-Eyed Heavenly King Mo Li Shou, one of the Four Heavenly Kings. When transformed, its body was as large as an elephant, and its attack power was immense. Erlang Shen was almost eaten by the Flower Fox Sable, which showed how formidable it was.

The Dragon Clan needed no introduction; they were powerful beings. However, for the Dragon Sable to transform and attack, it still had a long path of cultivation ahead. It was a Divine Beast and needed to cultivate to the Divine level before it could transform. Yet, in thousands of years, no Dragon Sable had reached the Divine level, causing the Dragon Sable tribe to decline. The Dragon Sable inherited the Dragon Clan's immense pride and powerful vitality, along with the Flower Fox Sable's speed. They never interacted with other races and always lived alone.

Bi Fan was also very fortunate. He had touched the Dragon Sable's heart with his sincerity and even became its master. Bi Fan was unaware of the Dragon Sable's history or its growth process; he only knew that the Dragon Sable advanced by eating.

The Dragon Sable woke up the next day and found the Evil Fire Snake Lion guarding it. It knew the Evil Fire Snake Lion was worried about it. This advancement had strengthened all of the Dragon Sable's abilities, and its fur color had also changed. Faint pink appeared on its paws, ears, and around its nostrils, making it even more lovable. This also indicated significant improvements in its sense of smell, hearing, and speed. As its realm increased, the color would deepen.

The Dragon Sable's poison also gained the abilities of the Fossil Scorpion King's poison. The Dragon Sable's Void Breaking ability was also enhanced. Its sense of smell could now detect the scent of spiritual herbs from farther away, as well as sealed spiritual herbs. Its hearing allowed the Dragon Sable to immediately know when something was approaching them, making it even more sensitive than Dugu Qian, as it was a Spirit Beast.
